The character of "Red Grange" is played by Harold 'Red' Grange, who, more than 90 years later, remains one of the most famous names in the history of football. The title of this serial was taken from Grange's famous nickname, "The Galloping Ghost".
At the time of the making of the movie, Harold 'Red' Grange was playing for the Chicago Bears. During a Bears game edited into the serial, the announcer can be heard referring to Grange as a Bear player.
The maniacal laughter heard at the end of the chapters is the voice of Theodore Lorch.
For Chapters: 7 and 10, the main theme music is different. Also scenes shown during the credits are different from what is shown before. It's possible that somebody created this opening for a video release.
