Twentieth Century-Fox remade the film years later as Scandale en première page (1948). Tyrone Power also starred in this version in much the same role as before. His co-stars were Gene Tierney (in the Loretta Young role), and Reginald Gardiner (in the George Sanders role) with Robert B. Sinclair directing.
Loretta Young's only picture in the 1930's to be a top-ten moneymaker, and she was furious that Tyrone Power was given top billing.
Lon Chaney Jr.'s role as an uncredited newsman is nowhere to be found in current prints. His scenes may have been cut prior to release.
This film was based on story by William R. Lipman and Frederick Stephani. According to Variety, Warner Bros. originally bought the screen rights to this story in June 1936.
