Trivia

One Rainy Afternoon

Edit
Final film of actresses Kathleen Kay and Vola Vale. This was also the last film appearance by actress Florence Lawrence, who died in 1938, who had an uncredited bit role in the film.
One Rainy Afternoon is available for free download at the Internet Archive.
An anonymous contemporary source lists Edward Everett Horton in the cast, but that actor was not seen in the viewed print.
According to publicity, the interior of the famous Palais de Glace in Paris was reproduced in Hollywood studios for this film. Five thousand feet of synthetic, "hyposulphate" ice combined with 20 secret ingredients were boiled and hardened for 12 hours to create a noiseless skating surface.
The earliest documented telecast of this film took place Saturday 10 April 1948 simultaneously 10 April 1948 in New York City on WNBT (Channel 4) and in Philadelphia on WPTZ (Channel 3).
