Trivia

Le Médecin de campagne

Edit
Jean Hersholt was cast as the Doctor following the death of Will Rogers, who had signed to take the role.
"The Dionne Quintuplets" and the individual quintuplet first names appear on the title frame. Since they do not appear in the comprehensive cast list at the end, they are listed first in the IMDb cast list, according the IMDb policy.
Filming of The Dionne Quintuplets took place at their home in Callander, Ontario, Canada, for only 45 minutes per day under the technical supervision of Dr. Allan R. Dafoe. Dorothy Peterson, Jean Hersholt, director Henry King, camera and sound men spent 17 days getting as much film shot as they could. King basically discarded the script at that point and let the quintuplets do the things that toddlers do. Twentieth Century-Fox agreed to hire the same number of Canadian technicians as Americans who entered Canada for the movie, after Canadian union men protested the lack of Canadians for the job.
Pat Flaherty and Barlowe Borland are in studio records/casting call lists for this movie, but they did not appear or were not identifiable.
The San Francisco Chronicle reported that the Quintuplets' parents, Olivia and Elzire Dionne, were angry that they were paid only $700 in compensation for having actors play them in the movie. However, some sources claim the fee for allowing the the quintuplets to be filmed was $50,000 while other sources say $85,000.
