The Case of the Velvet Claws

Edit

Clue Club #1: The White Cockatoo (1935)

Clue Club #2: While the Patient Slept (1935)

Clue Club #3: The Florentine Dagger (1935)

Clue Club #4: The Case of the Curious Bride (1935)

Clue Club #5: The Case of the Lucky Legs (1935)

Clue Club #6: The Murder of Dr. Harrigan (1936)

Clue Club #7: Murder by an Aristocrat (1936)

Clue Club #8: The Case of the Velvet Claws (1936)

Clue Club #9: The Case of the Black Cat (1936)

Clue Club #10: The Case of the Stuttering Bishop (1937)

Clue Club #11: The Patient in Room 18 (1938)

Clue Club #12: Mystery House (1938)
The William Shakespeare quote recited by Warren William is from the "Tomorrow" speech in "Macbeth."
This is Claire Dodd's second and final appearance as the character of "Della Street." She also played Della in the series' second entry, The Case of the Curious Bride (1935). She was the only actress to play the role in more than one feature.
Fourth of six "Perry Mason" films released by Warner Bros. from 1934 to 1937 and the final appearance by Warren William in the lead role. His contract with Warner Bros. was up and after one more film, En scène (1936), he signed with MGM, where he began the move into character roles.
This story was also on television in The Case of the Velvet Claws (1963), sans the wedding of Perry and Della.
