L'avion fou (1928)

Trivia

L'avion fou

Edit
This was the first Mickey Mouse cartoon to be produced (as a silent short) and was shown at a Hollywood theater on May 15, 1928. It was delayed until March 17, 1929, and with an added soundtrack, was the fourth Mickey Mouse cartoon to be released.
During production, Ub Iwerks reportedly locked himself in his office and put out as many as 700 animation drawings a day.
The cartoon was pretty much produced in secret, as Walt Disney was still contracted to the Oswald the Lucky Rabbit series for Universal.
This is one of six Mickey Mouse shorts that plays in the Main Street Cinema at Disneyland.
This short, designated as Disney's second Mickey Mouse, was revived, along with [link-nm0903049]'s Crépuscule de gloire (1928), at The Auditorium (41 West Fourth Street) in NYC on Monday, November 29, 1937 as part of New York University's cinema-appreciation class for adults.
