Trivia

None But the Brave

Edit
Featured "a dozen Prize Winning Bathing Beauties."
A bathing beauty pageant, running 549 feet, was filmed in 2-strip Technicolor. It is not known to have survived.
Several news sources named and featured the twelve actresses selected to be featured in the pageant sequences for this film. They were: Eleanor Black, Jacqueline Wells (Julie Bishop), Irene Murray, Leota Winters, Ada Williams (Ada Ince), Edna Sumida, Lola Salvi, Virignia Pratt, Virginia Parent, Marguerite Andrus, Diana Dare, and Betty Lorraine. The article 'Starving Beauties Storm Movie Lot for Beauty Jobs' published in the Hanover Evening Sun (31 August, 1928) published photos of Dare, Salvi, Murray, Parent, Black, Wells, Winters, Williams, Lorraine and Sumida in their elaborate bathing costumes.
Of the bathing beauties featured in the film, Edna Sumida was singled out by several news items as likely the first Japanese bathing beauty to appear in a film.
Dorothy Knapp's debut.
