A Jewel Production. Universal, lacking its own theater network, devised a 3-tiered branding system to sell its product to independent theater owners: Red Feather (low budget programmers), Bluebird (mainstream releases) and Jewel (prestige pictures designed to command higher roadshow ticket prices). This branding system (with some modifications) was used by the studio through late 1929.
