Oswald the Lucky Rabbit shows up at the orphanage with a sackful of presents for the youngsters. Can he distribute them and get out alive before they burn down the joint?
Ten years ago only about half a minute of this cartoon was extant. Then they found an almost full copy in Norway. That's a good thing, given the low survival rate of silent cinema, and cartoons in particular; although it was done by Walt Disney, he soon lost control of it and it wound up under the control of Universal. They cared so little about their silent movies, they dumped almost all of it in the ocean in the mid 1940s. Happily, control of Oswald and his movies are back with Disney, who are anxious to preserve Uncle Walt's legacy.
