A Conversation With Composer Ilan Eshkeri On His Shaun The Sheep Movie Score
When Shaun decides to take the day off and have some fun, he gets a little more action than he bargained for. A mix up with The Farmer, a caravan, and a very steep hill lead them all to the Big City and it’s up to Shaun and the flock to return everyone safely to Mossy Bottom Farm.

Shaun The Sheep Movie powers through visual puns, sight gags and rollicking plot twists to arrive at a hard-won realization: there’s no place like home.

As there is no dialogue from any of the characters, the music plays such an important role in the movie. That’s where the fantastic, colorful score from composer Ilan Eshkeri comes in.

Eshkeri’s recent film work includes Still Alice,...

This weekend marks a centennial of one of the most iconic figures of the modern world: silent comedian Charles Chaplin’s legendary Little Tramp, who premiered in a pair of short comedies that released 100 years ago by Keystone Studios. The second to be shot, but the first to be released, was the half-reel comic short Kid Auto Races at Venice, Cal. on February 7, 1914; two days later, it was followed by the single-reel Mabel’s Strange Predicament, during the production of which Chaplin threw together a costume on the fly made of too-large shoes, baggy pants, a tight jacket, and a bowler hat. Within months – if not, indeed, within weeks – the character thus assembled through a quick burst of inspiration had become a sensation with audiences,...

Brian Henson: 'We try new, different and unique things'
The That Puppet Game Show co-producer on how his father got the Muppets on screen, and why London feels like home

Above the entrance to The Jim Henson Company lot in Hollywood stands one cultural icon, Kermit the Frog, dressed as another, Chaplin's Little Tramp. Chaplin built this lot in 1917 and sold it in 1953 after Hollywood blacklisted him.
