The film centres around 3 sisters who are still coming to grips with the death of their mother was heavily based on director Andrew Walsh's own childhood experiences. Walsh's father committed suicide when he was 13 years old and at the age of 29 Walsh wrote the script to explore how it affected his childhood and his adult life.
