Superbly executed

Considered one of the greatest artists of his generation, Luca Ziegler's lauded, feted and collected by all. However, his fortune and fame left him agoraphobic, battling with his demon. Until a chance encounter with an unrequited love brings Luca back from the edge...the question is can he stay there.

Beauty in the horror

There is a strange and unnerving beauty in the psychological horror of Muse which offers a fascinating take on the genre. At its heart is a memorising performance by actor Géza Röhrig who has possibly the most captivating eyes of any actor I can think of. This film will stay with you long after the closing credits.

Stunning Visual Piece

Candida Brady and crew hit it out of the park with this amazing metaphorical, almost fairy tale like walk through the darkness of mental illness. Once again Candida brings another incredibly important issue to the forefront while using sumptuous visuals to keep the audience locked in. It takes place in one location and yet there is so much to see, hear and experience there. Cannot emphasize the beauty and importance of this film and the filmmaker. See whenever you can!

Awareness and Cinematography

As a person who understands mental health this film really hits home to me. I can't go into more than that as I don't want to leave spoilers, so I'll just let that unfold for the watchers after me. The cinematography is absolutely stunning, the whole movie is a hauntingly visual treat. Watch it and it will speak for itself to the viewer.

Mesmeric, haunting, utterly original

This brave and powerful film manages what very few achieve: an unflinching, engrossing portrayal of a journey through the dark, which is nevertheless shot through with light and hope. Rohrig's dynamic portrayal is a master class; his command of the screen matched by the melancholy beauty of his surroundings, the finely wrought script, and the clarity, warmth, depth and subtlety of the direction. This gripping film turns one person's extreme experience into everyone's journey: it leaves you both elevated and illuminated, and that, and the humanity and bravery, stay with you. One to be grateful for.
