    Better than Zero Dark Thirty

An incredible movie by an Iranian female director . If this was a Hollywood production, it would definitely win the Oscar for the best film in 2020

It's hard to believe that it was made under the regime of IRI...!

It's a very good film about Islam, Jihadism, family, love, Rigi family, terrorism, Iran, Baloch culture which is almost always rejected and hidden in the background, unfortunately.

Actually, I, as an Iranian, don't know much about Baloch people, because our government completely rejected them.

It's a very well-made film, so much to the point and with great messages.

It was unbelievable how our regime didn't censor some parts, for example, this one was about real Islam, not the one that has been made by some people and a sugar-coated version of the real thing.

A quote from Abdolmalek Rigi in the film: "Jihad, war and killing God's enemies are a necessity.

We have to fight old and new infidels.

Islam is a religion of war, not peace.

Those who want to combine Islam with liberalism, democracy and peace, are infidels, it is our obligation to kill them."

This is the reality of Islam, if you don't like it so you don't like Islam and these people who are fighting for their belief will harm or kill you in the end. This is reality as you can see in everyday life, but if you don't believe in the things they are fighting for so you have to think twice or at least read your holy book for once in a language that you can understand, not like Iranian people who never read the Quran and respect it always, it's simply nonsense!

I myself as an atheist have no respect for any religion at all, they are pure poison for our mind and society. I know there are some people who never go deep into the religious books and haven't got any idea what they are believing, I can respect these minority but never respect religions.

Technically, this film is strong and meticulously well-made. Another strong work by Narges Abyar. Cinematography, editing and some minor issues were among the weak points of this film.

    7.5/10.

    Great movie!

Great movie! Great act and directing. Not sure how much of it is based on true story. I know some of it is. But the ending was very sad....

    Dark, Intensitying and Horrific.

This movie is so intense and dark that I couldn't even absorb it without pausing. This Iranian female filmmaker is tough as nails in her cinematography. The depiction is so real that it totally nailed the tag 'based on real events'. Certainly tells you that how blind we can be when there's a hope of love.

Abyar traveled to related areas to collect information about the Rigi brothers and their ethnic group, the Rigi. She presented Abdolmalek Rigi as a member of the Rigi ethnic group which has a background in the armed conflict in Sistan and Baluchestan. In a press conference at the 37th Fajr International Film Festival, Abyar called the Rigi ethnic group "a respectable tribe" and said: "They wanted a film made to differentiate them from the Rigi brothers".

Ghamnaz: With what Abdol-Majid is doing, I'll lose the rest of them too. There's nothing worse in the world than knowing your children are in the wrong.

Faezeh: You're their mother, you brought them into the world...

Ghamnaz: I am God's helpless creature. Al-Qaeda believes a woman is less than the dirt you walk on. Abdol-Majid and his brothers have been brainwashed. They believe they are soldiers of God. It means they have to sacrifice their mothers, father's, wives and children.
