Jurnee Smollett, Chris Hemsworth, and Miles Teller in Spiderhead (2022)

Review by wcb123

Spiderhead

Excellent movie - Chris H is not miscast.- Throwback to 80's.

No idea how this is only 5.5 the movie is way better than that. At times brutal and dark and others hilarious. So yes it is essentially a dark comedy. Hence why i think that Chris is not miscast at all, he plays the evil but funny narcassistic villain to perfection. He's not supposed to be some super serious Bond villain.

Seems to be alot of 80's movie influence in this as well which i loved (not just in the soundtrack but wit various character cliche's and in particular the ending. The fight scenes and the hilarious demise of one of the characters. The riding off into the sunset thing is there too all played out with some sensual Saxophone!

It makes me wonder what kind of person finds this movie confusing. Perhaps it is too orginal for them? So unwilling to use their brain, anything other than the 500th Marvel movie is just straight up rocket science.

Only downside for me is the final third seemed a bit rushed. Could have squeezed another half hour in the middle for sure.
