The script had more moments of Siveth talking to herself.
According to screenwriter Matthew Feitshans, Siveth converted to vegetarianism since eating the local wildlife outside her cave would have left her with no one to talk to, and the animals wouldn't have gone near her if she kept eating them.

Actresses with the Dame title were initially considered to voice Siveth to keep some consistency with knights voicing the dragons in the previous movies (expect Robby Benson). However, Helena Bonham Carter was still always a top choice.
