Jason's last name is a reference to the obscure Disney thriller The Watcher in the Woods (1980). The film's poster is also featured on the wall in Sebastian's room.
"THE POWER AND THE GLORY" sign seen in Sebastian's room is a reference to the name of the underground nightclub that Laura Palmer and Donna Hayward visit in a deleted scene from Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me (1992). The same sign can be seen hanging on the door leading down to the "Pink Room."
