It's not only about rugby!

Brilliantly shot, edited and fast paced. It never gets boring. The personal background of the players are truly inspiring. It really illustrates the importance of great coaching, vision, goals and strategy. Rassie Erasmus as a coach is an absolute genius but it's he's empathy, belief, leadership, care, humanity and love he displays for the players is what makes him a legend.

Outstanding documentary

Fantastic production and cinematography to go with a powerful story of hope. HBO and Netflix style quality production. What an amazingly well done feature of a heartwarming story. A must see for every South African especially.

Epitome of Sport Documentaries

I started watching this with no expectations, and having seen no trailers or promo content. A few minutes into the first episode, I could feel a lump in my throat starting to form. Throughout the series - which i binged watched in one afternoon, its that good - there was never a dull or boring moment. By the last episode I was in tears, overwhelmed by joy, and sorrow and hope. It takes a special production crew to make something as provoking as this.

Even if you are not into Rugby, this documentary delves deep into some individual Springbok's stories, which serve to remind us all where we come from, where we are, and where we could be, if we worked together. There are lessons for all South Africans in this documentary.

Greatest sport documentary

Headline says it all. If this doesn't bring you to tears, then I'm not sure what will. A must watch.

Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing

I'm a proud Scot and passionate supporter of Scotland's rugby team (and the British & Irish Lions!!), but I can honestly say that I have a deep, deep respect and admiration for the South African team having watched this documentary.

Over and above the superb production values of the documentary, to see and gain a little more understanding of where this team (players, management and support staff) comes from is truly inspiring. It's a fascinating, heartfelt watch that brings a tear to the eye whilst uplifting the soul.

I know what South Africa is like having travelled and lived there a few years back and this gives me more hope than anything else that there's a better future ahead than what appears in the news sections. It's even more inspiring to see the build up to the RWC2019 victory when offered a peak behind at the people involved.

This is one of the best sports documentaries ever - it's powerful and rewarding.

The greatest sports documentary...

Speechless, truly an incredibly produced story, everyone involved behind the scenes deserves all the accolades on an international scale. The story itself is riveting, the way in which it is told is majestic.

Great insight

Goosebumps all the way and a great way to get true insight and understanding of why South Africa is such a powerhouse in world Rugby! The genius that is Rassie is beautifully captivated. The unrestricted access that chasing the sun was given is unparalleled and an epic documentary! The first of rugby union documentary that has set the standards that all other documentaries will be compared too. Sincere and unscripted, leads to a true story! Respect to all those involved, camera angles the blend of where the team had come from and then where they inevitably ended up just phenomenal. Well played SuperSport and MNet.

I don't understand how something this brilliant can be made

Unbelievable. That's how I felt from beginning to end, the documentary series is packed with powerful emotions from beginning to end and brilliant ties in Rassie Erasmus' rugby genius with contemporary South African politics.

My rugby mad family members have fallen in love with it and so have my family members who have no interest in rugby. My family were in tears after witnessing the powerful brilliance of the series.

A must watch for all, my favourite piece of media ever.

More than just a Game...

Brilliant story of how SA Rugby has shaped our wonderful country! What an inspiration! Brilliant series & would highly recommend it to the world! Furthermore, the documentary astutely captures the significant role played by rugby as a beacon of hope and inspiration for the younger generations, instilling in them the values of teamwork, determination, and perseverance. Through compelling anecdotes and heartfelt accounts, the film underscores how the Springboks' remarkable success on the international stage serves as a source of motivation for the aspiring youth, fostering a sense of purpose and ambition within the hearts of the nation's future leaders.
