The Case That Haunts Me

Please come back with more seasons! I love it. You get A level actors but also with the real people involved. I binged watched them all today. I can't believe I hadn't found this sooner. Very well done. It brings the haunting reality to bare. It makes you think twice about your own safety and your surroundings.

Most true crime stories are more true people with actors sprinkled in. this is a great platform. it is like watching a crime TV show and having the actual detective narrate it for you. quality actors also. so it is really riveting.

I'll start with the fact that I'm an ID Addict and I've watched more TV shows in this vein of production than I care to admit. The episodes are almost exclusively about cases in Canada but there have been a couple in the states and I think one in Europe. The production company(ies) are Canadian I believe and the quality of acting is superb. You feel like your watching a big screen movie rather than the usual B rate actors that you find on most of Investigation Discovery's similarly formatted programs. I always feel the frustration of the detectives and investigators when watching and they do a beautiful job telling the story. This show is not for the faint of heart either. The subject matter is very often grisly but if you just crave true crime stories, you'll love The Case That Haunts Me!

Me and my wife like crime shows and one of our favorites is exclusively Canadian stories. Haven't seen a bad one yet. Lots of LEOs with life long compassion for victims.

I just discovered this series last night (05/17/2025) and already wish there were more seasons. I'm only four episodes in, and the cases are horribly sad, but I really like this series so far. I love the re-enactments mixed with the more recent interviews. However, these are the worst cases for the detectives who are recounting their most haunting cases. Seeing the passion, emotions, and frustration on their faces was absolutely heartbreaking. You can see how much these cases really do torment them. I think the entire production crew did an excellent job with the editing and sequencing of each episode. Job well done!! Highly recommend this series if you're a true crime and/or documentary fan.
