From explosive action flicks to grounded soul-stirring drama to suspenseful horror, anime is limitlessly diverse when it comes to tackling different genres. On top of the classic demographics, shonen, shojo, seinen, and josei, anime ventures into many stories to suit every taste, and even the most picky fans would be hard-pressed not to find something to enjoy within the medium’s expansive catalog.
However, whereas some anime genres, like battle shonen anime or high school romance, never struggle to achieve acclaim, the more obscure anime categories regrettably face prejudice from the casual anime viewer. Anime is a multifaceted medium, and limiting oneself to familiar genres could easily result in incredible shows falling through the cracks. These anime subgenres might be controversial, yet many fans might find their new all-time favorite titles within their ranks.

The harem genre is a controversial one that is either a hit or a miss for anime fans. There are people for whom the idea of having multiple options for romantic partners does not go well, while others absolutely love this kind of setup.

However, one thing more or less remains constant in almost all harem anime; the male lead chooses one girl in the end. There is almost always a clear winner who gets the protagonist and a bunch of losers who miss out on their opportunity.
But with such an ending, a harem anime ironically challenges its own concept of being a ‘harem’ by devolving into a monogamous relationship. Yet, 100 Girlfriends That Really Really Really Really Really Love You or The 100 Girlfriends, has achieved the impossible by promising a true harem conclusion with no losers.

The harem anime genre is one of the medium’s most heavily disliked and commonly dismissed — and plenty of criticisms aimed at harem anime are far from unfounded. All harem anime follow the basic premise of a group of attractive girls falling for the same male lead, presenting the viewers with a self-indulgent fantasy that rarely pretends to be more than that.
Female characters in harem anime are usually archetypical and regularly exploited for fanservice, unique development and nuanced personalities not being common features of harem plots. However, plenty of harem anime actually recognize the heroines as the beating heart of any harem storyline and treat them with the respect and appreciation they deserve. In these harem anime, female characters are more than just eye candy and, for once, get treated as multifaceted people with traits outside of their attraction to the protagonist.

Many games may experience some changes for US-based players, as the Pentagon labels Chinese-based Tencent as a "Chinese military company." Tencent is the company behind League of Legends, Pubg, and a long list of other games and game companies. The decision to add Tencent to the list may influence how the company does business in the US, and, by extension, how its games are distributed and played on American land.
The United States Defense Department labeled Tencent Holdings Limited as a "Chinese military business operating in the United States," as reported by The New York Times. The company joins a list of 134 names as part of the US government's annually updated Military Blacklist. Although this doesn't place any sanctions on the company, it strongly discourages US-based companies from doing business with it. The Blacklist can place a strain on the company and may lead to changes in some popular games.

My Hero Academia star Ayane Sakura has taken on the role of Kodachi, the eccentric younger sister of Tatewaki Kuno in Mappa's Ranma 1/2 anime remake. While only six episodes of the series have aired so far, Sakura has already had her lung capacity and vocal cords put to the test when voicing the iconic character.
In Ranma 1/2, Kodachi is one of the many young women who compete for the titular protagonist's affections. In her debut episode, she shows off both her martial arts and gymnastics skills by pursuing Ranma's fiance, Akane Tendo, with her famous black ribbon. She also tends to break into fits of maniacal laughter. In a recent two-part interview with Mantan Web, Sakura recounted the challenge of recreating Kodachi's laughter. "After laughing out loud, I ran out of oxygen and felt dizzy for a long time. I thought it must be very difficult to perform this every time.
