    Two Babies Switched at Birth

This film begins in a hospital where two women are simultaneously giving birth. As it so happens, one of the women is married to an extremely successful businessman named "Ramachandra" (Jayaram) while the other woman is married to one of Ramachandra's employees by the name of "Valmiki" (Murli Sharma). Although both babies are male, the nurse notices that the one belonging to Ramachandra is not breathing and begins to panic under the assumption that she will be held responsible for the child's death. It's at this precise time that Valmiki intervenes and tells her to substitute his son for that of Ramachandra's with the expectation that he will have a much better life. The nurse hesitates at first and when she eventually acquiesces it is discovered that Ramachandra's baby is not dead after all. Regardless, Valmiki is determined to maintain the deception and after a scuffle the nurse is seriously injured to the point that she cannot prevent Valmiki from going through with his fraudulent scheme. Eventually, both children grow up with the Ramachandra's actual child, "Bantu" (Allu Arjun) possessing superior talents while Valmiki's child "Raj Manohar" (Sushanth) is rather slow and dim-witted. Even so, Raj Manohar is given all of the benefits a wealthy father can bestow upon him while Bantu is continuously scorned by Valmiki. However, things become quite interesting once the paths of Ramachandra and Bantu finally cross. Now rather than reveal any more I will just say that this film started off as an extremely enjoyable comedy but slowed down around the middle part of the movie when the plot turned a bit more serious. As far as the actors are concerned, I liked the performances of both Allu Arjun and Jayaram but not so much that of Murli Sharma who seemed a bit over-the-top. In any case, I enjoyed this film for the most part and I have rated it accordingly. Above average.

A Stylish Mass Body with No Brain Attached. AVPL rides highly on Allu Arjun's swag and eventually there's no other surviving factor in it.

    Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020) : Brief Review -

A Stylish Mass Body with No Brain Attached. AVPL rides highly on Allu Arjun's swag and eventually there's no other surviving factor in it. Before watching Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, you have to decide what you want to watch. If you're looking for a quality entertainer then please don't even think of watching it. But, if you're looking for a popcorn entertainer, when you can concentrate more on the flavour of your popcorn than the screen, then don't forget to watch AVPL on any weekend of your choice. The film starts on a ridiculous note but that's like a warm up. It gives you the idea about what you are going to see in the next 150 minutes. If you can hold yourself for an hour or so then be assured, you'll feel satisfied by the end. Every fight scene in the film is so stylish and so highly decorated that you may find it brainless but not irritating. Well, that's one of the USPs of the film is that despite being a stylish body with no brain, it never really becomes a headache. Yes, some scenes are too terrible for today's times, I mean even 70s masala entertainer had more logic but it's a complete package of entertainment for the TV audience. If they can endure those crappy daily soaps then this is much better. Murali Sharma did his best to win the Worst Actor award, not just with that crippled leg but crippled expressions too. However, there is one thing that lifts it up and that's Allu Arjun and his larger-than-life, out-and-out stylish image. Additionally, the second half shows some growth in IQ level after that senseless first half. That meeting room scene is hysterically massy. LIT! Rest of the cast is there only to fill the screen, and direction is strictly below average. Overall, a typical family drama with hit numbers, enough dose of entertainment and towered-tall, stylish swag of Allu Arjun. The TV audience can go berserk over it. They deserve it. That's one way to troll, ain't it?
