The Diva: ...Thunderella is a very good example of how NOT to do a "cute" character. Cute characters are extremely hard to get right. It's not enough to draw something adorable and merchandise-friendly; they have to be fun without being forced, affectionate without being annoying, sweet without being cloying, and endearing without being nauseating. Thrown in giving them a genuine personality and function in the plot; the result is a tightrope walk that it takes a very skilled writer and creative team to navigate. Which brings us back to Thunderella: an unbearably precious kid with hyperactive body language; I won't mention her voice, especially when she sings.
