Chinese productions know the secret in making nostalgic, school dramas. This one is actually one of the best I've watched so far. However, there is a trop that they even couldn't escape: the open ending. Why, really why!, can't they give us a satisfying ending?! Anyway, other than slice of life - realistic ending, the story was sweet and full of the innocence of youth. The leads were especially adorable and everyone gave a good performance. The execution, moreover, was good overall. So, seven out of ten.

So I enjoyed this one but the last 10 episodes were draggy and boring so I skipped a lot.

Nothing ever happens except for them continuing living their life so even though is a very realistic story, I thought it wasn't gripping enough.

A little thing call first love or A love so beautiful are way better than this if you want the focus on the romance side and it is also better because you can see them in different stages in life.

If you want something with more depth and better family and romance plots overall Go ahead also surpasses this one on quality.

If you prefer something similar but more adult is the Korean Reply series, those dramas will make you happy, there's even a few scenes on the Reply 1988 that are the same as here but better.

I think its a good try but too bland and childish for me, although I found the voice overs and analysis of each episode to be good enough quality .

Watch it if you want something lighthearted and simple with no complicated plots or too much depth.

I initially watched this movie to improve my Chinese, thinking it would just be good practice. But to my surprise, it turned out to be so much more. The storyline is incredibly well-crafted, and the emotional flow is absolutely breathtaking. Every scene carries depth, and each speech feels intentional, full of meaning and placed at just the right moment. It draws you in emotionally and keeps you hooked till the end. Even though it was filmed in 2018, it doesn't feel outdated at all. The message, the acting, the visuals-everything is so powerful. I truly recommend it, not just for language learners, but for anyone who loves meaningful cinema.

Could the show get any better or the character of Hua Biau get more Perfect? This show is definitely my favorite Chinese Drama and is a must watch. Unlike other dramas where I usually end up being disappointed with the ending, this drama had me hooked throughout and made me feel like the ending couldn't be more perfect and realistic. There was not a dull moment in this drama. I wish they had more episodes.

The lady who played the Grandma had me weeping. Her acting was so so so amazing. And the character of Er Tiao was very different and interesting.

The whole idea about the best friend being secretly in love with the main lead, and the whole love triangle thing is a bit overused, but that can be excused, since the drama is amazing otherwise.

And did I mention how much I love Hua Biau's character. Neo Hao portrayed this character so perfectly. You can't help but fall in love with him. Move aside bad boys, 'the good guy' is what everyone will start craving for in dramas now after watching this show. Okay I'll stop now. XD

Honestly great. Has a nostalgic feel as it is set in the 90s. You can watch on YouTube with subs.

I couldn't stop myself watching this drama again. The characters, the acting and most importantly the ending is so perfect that I fell in love with each of them. I really want to tell everyone that this is the best Chinese drama and please please do watch it guys. At the end I was really sad but on the other hand I couldn't think of a better ending. If you have ever fallen in love in your high school do watch it, it will take you back. I really wish to see it's 2nd season.

Although I loved this drama I really don't know what I have found in this drama wrong but this drama is my comfort zone it was so inspiring drama but we just need a second season with the same cast and a happy ending it was not a ending if you are thinking that you will not get that much good review then you are wrong cause now each actors are famous I am sure this will be the hit one.

If you start to get in this drama then It'll be not that easy to get rid off this.everyone wants the season 2 for their story,acting,atmosphere.the perfect chosen of hua bio & yang xi as hou ming hao & wan peng is best.I love this drama more than anything god.love you guys i meant it from the bottom of my heart :')

It was a amazing series I love all characters...... spacially hou bio and yang xi....both of my favourite character.....bt the ending was so emotional.....and I can't stop me to cry.....bt I wanted the season 2 where they meet again with their successful life and being a happy ending story.... waiting for season 2....love from india 🇮🇳

I really like this drama because it shows how the lives of teenagers, Where adolescence is indeed a very draining emotional drama because of the many changes, In this drama, there are many lessons that must be taken by teenagers, teachers and everyone else, Thank you for making this drama, I like it very much, I hope this drama has a second session, I love Sangbiao.

Acctually I also felt that moment that divide the gang 'cause I'm also 18 years...This drama is the most addictable drama that I watched in my 18 yrs old life...It feels like my life.... I also got more than one examples for my future life....

From what I remember I watched this in 2019 or 2018? (I dont remember but probably the later?) on floor mattress chilling to the fullest and I hadn't given my 10th exam yet... and I was just very new to this whole drama and shows stuff and I randomly happened to decide to watch this show just bcs it wasn't that old and came out a year or so recently! I watched and watched and this show is just sunlight... like the warm sun of early January. It motivated me, showed me joy! Meaning of friendships, and alot of values! It had so much impact on my life unknowingly - im glad I came across it! It will always be so special to me I remember watching this before going in an important stage of my life and remembering thinking that "I watched it at the perfect time in my life.." and I agree to it completely today. It's been 5-6 years around till I watched it and it seems like such a nostalgia to me now. This brings me hope and warmth. Ty to this show <#
