I love this movie. I've watched it like 5 times. It flows VERY smoothly and the acting performances are actually incredible. Haven't figured out if it is the acting, the humorous scenes or the deft handling of the complex subject matter. To flow as well as it does it had to be masterfully-written. My favorite characters are 'Gunz' and 'Trusted'. De'aundre Bonds and Samuel Monroe Jr., respectively (two actors that were in 'Tales From the Hood'), are EXCELLENT in this movie. Gunz is NO joke and Trusted is very loyal and actually funny in how he responds to his brother, 'Liquid' (the actor is not credited here and that's unfortunate because he was ALSO.... VERY amusing in his character. Very likeable.). Of course you have your veterans who were great; the incredible Glenn Plummer (ALSO not mentioned/credited here and THAT'S a crime! You would THINK he would be a BILLIONAIRE as many movies as he's been in and working on now. What a career!) and Omar Gooding. The performances by the other actors were quite good as well. But, overall, this movie just works. It is thought-provoking (as to the veracity of these things ACTUALLY happening in the industry) and extremely entertaining. I'm certain I will be watching it multiple times again in future, GOD (the 'good' one) willing.
