One Piece

I liked that the movie introduced a lot of characters and brought back Luffy and the pirate crew, it was really amazing for One Piece fans to be able to see this great movie on the big screen!

A treat for One Piece fans

I'm a fan myself, but, there're a couple of "buts" that makes it imperfect, the villain lack charisma, he just show up without any proper introduction that would mask his evil agenda. He just show up and goes like "hey guys, look at me, the demon heir, I'm very damn strong ya'll. Brain? Scheme? Tactics? who needs that? I'm brawnier than all of you combined." Such a not-well-developed, well-forgotten character for an ex-member of the once known as the world's most powerful and the most dangerous pirate crew for me. Visually, I can't help but almost got a sore eyes by the end of the film, maybe it's just me sitting too close to the screen, or maybe the screen just to big, or maybe it's really the case that sometimes, in some of the scenes, the characters and the backgrounds seem disconnected to my eyes to the point that it almost looks like a motion comics you watch in youtube. Actions? just enjoy it, the animation and choreography is far better than in the tv anime series, but still I can easily address some size/scale inconsistencies. Can't wait for another One Piece projects by Goda-sensei, IKUZOOO!!!!!

imdb 8.1 and mal 8.22 ???

I am a fan of One Piece and the trailer released the hype to the World. I couldnt watch the movie in the cinema and waited half a year to watch this movie. I guess for the people who did watch it in the movies the movie felt wonderful. But I watched alone on a laptop and calmly analyzed this movie. The only good thing in the movie is animation. Plot and dialogues are aweful. All those cameos we see during the movie are pointless.. The villains are tremendously stupid. And for that I was waited that long... Good thing I havent spent my money on it.

Celebrating 20 Years of Adventure on the High Seas

The thrilling movie experience that One Piece: Stampede, directed by Takashi Otsuka, offers serves as a victorious ode to the adored anime and manga series. The film, which was released to celebrate the franchise's 20th anniversary, brings together a cast of characters from several series to create an epic clash at the Pirate Festival, featuring the Straw Hat Pirates. The animation is just amazing; it perfectly captures the spirit of the series' pivotal action scenes and the vibrant characters created by Eiichiro Oda. Stampede is a fan's paradise, providing an exciting fusion of humor, fierce battles, and poignant moments honoring One Piece's enduring legacy.

Great Movie but not on par with the previous ones

It was a great Movie me and my friends enjoyed it but compared to Gold it barely stood up to it I gave gold a 10/10

Without spoiling anything this Movie is basically one very long Fight where as the other ones have a little bit more going on also the Villian in this one is quite underwhelming. His background Story seems very forced to me

tldr: I enjoyed it, but I enjoyed the previous ones even more :)

One Piece Movie 14: Stampede

This movie was perfect. One Piece Movie 14: Stampede has perfect quality and art style. This movie was awesome like every other movies of One Piece. Seeing the fight scenes is so good. The animation was fantastic as usual. And every One Piece fans dream so many old characters are coming in this movie. Like Smoker, like Rob Lucci. I liked that the movie introduced a lot of characters. Lastly I love one thing so much. The clash of King's Haki. It was perfect.

If you fan One Piece, you should watch this movie. This movie is just insane. I recommend this to all One Piece fans. You won't be disappointed. If you haven't watch it., what do you waiting for?

Cool for the story, but graphics are getting too realistic

Loved the storyline, but the graphics, the animation is getting too realistic. The argument is awesome, I hope they make the next movie with the animations more like Film Z, we love some 3D but this is anime, not 3D movie animations.

Good, but not enough

One piece was my favourite anime of all time. This movie has a great action scene, but many important characters including a new one have a very low screenplay for them.

Still an enjoyable movie to watch

One Piece Stampede: An All-Star Pirate Extravaganza!

One Piece Stampede, released to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the beloved anime series, lives up to its name - a chaotic and exhilarating rush of pirate action. This film throws a massive cast of characters, both familiar and returning, into a grand pirate festival with a legendary treasure as the ultimate prize. While its narrative depth might take a backseat to its sheer scale and fan service, Stampede ultimately delivers a thrilling and undeniably entertaining experience for long-time One Piece enthusiasts.

The plot of Stampede is relatively straightforward, serving primarily as a catalyst to bring together a vast array of pirates. The Pirate Expo, organized by the enigmatic Buena Festa, promises the location of Gol D. Roger's treasure. This attracts not only the Straw Hat crew but also numerous notorious pirates from across the Grand Line, including members of the Worst Generation, Shichibukai and former Shichibukai, and even remnants of the Roger Pirates.

The main antagonist, Douglas Bullet, a former crewmate of the Pirate King, emerges as a formidable force with immense power and a personal vendetta. His goal transcends simply obtaining the treasure; he aims to prove his strength and reshape the pirate world. While Bullet's backstory is intriguing, his characterization sometimes feels secondary to the film's primary focus on showcasing epic clashes between the assembled pirates.

Stampede is a veritable feast of One Piece characters. The Straw Hat crew, as always, are central to the action, with Luffy's unwavering spirit and determination driving the narrative. However, the film shines in its inclusion of a massive supporting cast. Seeing characters like Eustass Kid, Trafalgar Law, Smoker, Sabo, and even Crocodile fighting alongside or against each other creates moments of pure fan delight.

The animation quality in Stampede is exceptional. The action sequences are fluid, dynamic, and visually stunning, especially during the large-scale battles involving numerous characters with their unique abilities. The film utilizes vibrant colors and detailed character models, bringing the chaotic energy of the Pirate Expo to life. The sheer scale of the confrontations, with powerful Devil Fruit abilities clashing and environments being destroyed, is a visual treat for fans.

The film's greatest strength - its massive cast and focus on action - can also be seen as a minor drawback. The sheer number of characters sometimes leads to less individual screen time and development for certain figures. The plot, while functional, is less intricate and emotionally resonant compared to films like Film Z or Strong World. Some viewers might find the constant barrage of action and fan service overwhelming or lacking in substantial narrative depth.

One Piece Stampede truly shines in delivering unforgettable, albeit non-canon, moments that resonate deeply with fans. The raw power of the Conqueror's Haki clash between Luffy and the formidable Douglas Bullet sent shivers down spines, showcasing a level of intensity rarely seen outside the main storyline. Similarly, Luffy's instinctive, almost preordained, breaking of the internal pose towards Laugh Tale was a goosebump-inducing scene, hinting at the profound connection to the Pirate King's legacy. The subtle yet impactful appearance of Ace's shadow behind Sabo during a crucial moment served as a poignant reminder of their bond and added an emotional layer for those familiar with their history. These fan-favorite moments, while not part of the official canon, contribute significantly to the film's celebratory atmosphere.

One Piece Stampede is a thrilling and visually stunning anniversary celebration that prioritizes high-octane action and fan service above all else. While its narrative might be less complex than some other entries in the franchise, the sheer joy of seeing so many iconic characters interact and engage in epic battles is undeniable. Stampede is a glorious, chaotic party that delivers exactly what it promises: a stampede of pirate action and fan-fueled excitement.

Fan service over story

Most of the movie seems to be little bits of fan service stitched together, rather than a satisfying story. Here's character X. They're saying that thing that makes them sound cool (Zoro), or doing that attack that makes them look badass (Luffy), or trying to do both and failing because that what makes them an endearing loser (Buggy).

At this point in the canon everyone is so OP that that the villain has no choice but to be equally overpowered; although One Piece can do smart villain plots, they work better as a slow burn over a long story arc. This is more of a showcase for as many characters as possible getting their 15 seconds of screen time before the unsurprising climax.

The sweet spot for characters with such a power creep is similar to an RPG; at the low levels they can't do much, and the high levels they are so strong they can just spam their strongest attacks. It's that middle ground where the most fun is to be had.

Unfortunately that heyday for the One Piece crew was around the Alabaster era. The ongoing stories are still entertaining when there is room for is a solid story, character development, and plot twists. But in a movie which is trying to shoehorn in as much as it can, those fall by the wayside in favor of a simple battle royale plot. It's still fun, but it could be better.
