For six years, Kanye West gave an aspiring director from Orange County unfettered access to his life, breakdowns and inner circle. The result of that can soon be seen on the big screen in the documentary In Whose Name?, which will be released by Amsi Entertainment in partnership with AMC, Regal and Cinemark on Sept. 19.
Ballesteros, who started shadowing the artist also known as Ye at 18, shot more than 3,000 hours of footage during some of West’s most tumultuous times as he struggled with mental health issues and a bipolar diagnosis, the breakdown of his marriage to Kim Kardashian, the crumbling of lucrative endorsement deals and a series of controversies over hate-filled public statements promoting antisemitic views, conspiracy theories and personal attacks on other artists and celebrities.
“I’m off my meds for five months now,” West says as the teaser opens, later adding, “I would rather be dead than be on medication.

Exclusive: When 18-year-old filmmaker Nico Ballesteros began capturing private moments of Kanye West – now known as Ye – he probably had no idea what he was in for. Over the ensuing six years he would shoot thousands of hours of material showing West’s apparent worsening mental health struggles, collapsing marriage to Kim Kardashian, loss of lucrative sponsorships, and disturbing declarations.
Ballesteros’s documentary In Whose Name? chronicling Ye’s inner world will be released by Amsi Entertainment on approximately 1,000 screens on September 19 in partnership with AMC, Regal, and Cinemark theater chains. We have your first look at the film in the teaser above.
“I’m off my meds for five months now,” West declares at the beginning of the teaser. An anguished Kardashian says in a breaking voice, “Your personality was not like this a few years ago!”

Action and Jason Statham fans just got some bad news. The genre icon’s upcoming thriller has now been delayed, meaning we will all have to wait a little longer to see The Stath once again ply his action hero trade and put his particular set of skills to good use.

The mystery-drama comedy Desperate Housewives ran for eight seasons on ABC from 2004 until 2012, but it continued to have a loyal fandom even after its ending. That's why the series is now getting a spin-off.
The dramedy series was set on Wisteria Lane, a street in the fictional town of Fairview in the fictional Eagle State. Desperate Housewives followed the lives of four women, covering their lives across fifteen years. Deadline reveals that the new offshoot series will be titled Wisteria Lane, and will welcome new residents on the same street.
The new spin-off series is a reimagining of the ABC hit, and is in development at Onyx Collective. The upcoming Wisteria Lane comes from Scandal's Kerry Washington's Simpson Street, and 20th Television. Desperate Housewives creator/executive producer Marc Cherry is not involved in the pitch, but might be involved in the series in the future.

The action moviemaking duo of Jason Statham and director David Ayer continue to deliver following last year’s The Beekeeper, with their latest effort, this month’s A Working Man, now landing a knockout score on Rotten Tomatoes. While The Stath consistently delivers in the action department, his movies don’t always succeed with the critics. Thankfully, A Working Man does both, as the newly revealed “fresh” score confirms.
While not quite reaching the buzzing heights of The Beekeeper’s 71%, A Working Man is not far behind. The action thriller now stands at a solid 67% at time of writing, with critics heaping praise on Statham and Ayer’s return. Following the monumental success of last year’s The Beekeeper, action movie icon Jason Statham returns to the big screen this week with the equally brilliant-looking A Working Man. Well, we say “equally brilliant,” but based on the first reactions, the reunion of Statham and The Beekeeper’s David Ayer is sounding even better.
Beginning with X/Twitter user and critic @NextBestPicture, A Working Man finds Statham at his absolute best, with the "no-nonsense blockbuster” delivering nothing less than “relentless entertainment, packed with hard-hitting set pieces and a Statham performance that’s as fierce as it is grounded.”
“A Working Man is easily my favorite Jason Statham-led action film in quite some time. Leaps and bounds better than his last collaboration with David Ayer. While it may run a bit long, this blue-collar, no-nonsense blockbuster delivers relentless entertainment, packed with hard-hitting set pieces and a Statham performance that’s as fierce as it is grounded.

David Howard Thornton, best known for his role as the sadistic Art the Clown in Terrifier and its brutal sequel, is set to terrorise audiences once again—this time as a rampaging rodent in Screamboat, a horror-comedy that transforms a harmless ferry ride into a nightmarish bloodbath. The film is set to hit Vue cinemas on 2nd April before arriving on digital platforms on 28th April and DVD in May, courtesy of Signature Entertainment.
Directed by Steven Lamorte (The Mean One), Screamboat takes the playful charm of classic animated mascots and distorts it into something far more menacing. The film follows a group of late-night commuters in New York who find themselves trapped on a ferry with an unexpected predator—a seemingly mischievous mouse that quickly reveals its far deadlier intentions. As the body count rises, the passengers must band together to survive against the pint-sized terror before their journey...

Action movie icon Jason Stathamis used to being able to punch his enemies into submission. But what if his enemy is a giant prehistoric monster? “All right...let’s play.” Action movie icon Jason Statham does what he does best in a new action-packed clip from this month’s highly anticipated action thriller, A Working Man. The Beekeeper star Jason Statham continues to fly the flag for wonderfully no-nonsense action movie fare, and his next movie, the Jean-François Richet directed Mutiny, has now been given a release date. Sadly, it’s going to be a little while before we catch The Stath’s next violent vendetta.
As per a report by Deadline, Mutiny will land in theaters next year on January 9, 2026, with Lionsgate putting Statham’s latest action thriller up against Universal’s M3GAN spin-off Soulm8te, which releases the week before on January 2. Other than that, the path is clear for Mutiny to make a killing at the box office on its opening weekend.
Mutiny sees Statham in the role as both star and producer as he joins forces with the director behind 2023’s Gerard Butler-led Plane, Jean-François Richet, with the action outing finding The Mechanic star on the run while uncovering a major global conspiracy.

Bane is coming back and it looks like he is ready to break more than just the Bat. Yes, James Gunn and Peter Safran are reportedly taking another iconic Batman villain to the big screen, and this time, Bane is getting the spotlight he deserves. We’ve seen Bane in live action projects before — first in film with a forgettable appearance in Batman & Robin and then with Tom Hardy’s unforgettable portrayal in The Dark Knight Rises. According to new McKinsey & Company research, there are over 62 million Latinos living in the United States who not only account for more than $3 trillion of Gdp but are also avid consumers of film and TV. US Latinos account for 24 percent of box office ticket sales and 24 percent of streaming subscribers. Yet somehow, there still aren't enough Latines behind and in front of the camera even though our viewership doubles when we see ourselves represented on or off screen.
Today, we still don't have enough TV programming that accurately represents us - and the few shows that have been created for us and by us, like "Vida," "One Day at a Time," "Promised Land," and "Gentefied," were eventually all canceled despite their popularity. Among these many cancellations was Dominican American creator Claudia Forestieri's beloved "Gordita Chronicles," which was released in June 2022 on HBO Max and was canceled after just one season.
