No, really, this is BLU Sniper to a bloody T. Highly enjoyed the movie, the comedy, poor Bishop being, well, Bishop. The girls were amusing. A dark comedy just perfect for today.
I have seen a lot of movies, low budget and all, but big ups to the team behind this movie, Max will have you hooked with his "efficiency" or lack thereof, throughout the movie, there's a lot of humuor and thought provoking scenes that will have you glued all the way, so much so that i had to create a profile and write a review.
Im about 15 mins into it & theres no audio when they talk!
I can hear him running, the mops squeaking on the floor, his jacket crackling, but NO audio when anyone talks!!

A solid story that wasn't lost in "art" where an anti-hero does what he does best, is not a hero. It was a bare-bones production so if your 'thing' is giant CG robot battles, skip it. If you can handle a story line with a beginning, middle, and end, that adds up to a pretty good movie, here you go.
This is not a great movie. But it is way better than the sum of collective parts. Dark comedies do not rest on a moral code or character growth as much as they do the darkness of the human condition. Max lives and dies in darkness and the sole light is the kid's smiles. The conflicting instructions to act both down right wrong versus taking a good path to do right are all to common in reality. The ending of the movie is bright but not by the actions of the protagonist. So solid movie done on a sparse script and budget. I love thought provoking and clean low budget movies. Seven stars well earned here.
