A very good idea...but keeping it straight and simple didnt workout..well..the end wasnta cliff hanger...as it should have been.. and really doesnt add up much. the writting is below par....they just kept chewing the core diea without adding layers to it. most of it was a miss...even the standup which should have been the shining knight for sucha series ...really just didnt ....add up much to the story.

Hasmukh struggles for its treatment.

Sometimes director moves to a serious narrative sometimes it takes liberty to make foolish jokes out of stupid behaviour of characters. It doesn't have consistent narrative.

Hasmukh says : "koi mar gya kya?"

The answer is yes ;director killed a beautiful idea which could have given next andhadhun.😶

Stand Up by Vir Das was the worst. Storyline is a tedious. I feel Ranvir Shorey's character was much better than Vir Das's. The best i could figure out was the acting done by all the artists.

Only if Vir Das could focus on acting, this would have worked wonders.

This is jo real story its a satire and dark humour so if u do not like the genre then dont watch i.

If u are giving rating by watching only one episode than thats not fair.... first epi is quite slow but hold on its not that bad.

I like the story line and the characters are nicely placed. The humor is subtle and dark. Could have been better in terms of dialogues.

1.5 star for Vir Das 1.5 star for Ranveer shorey.

The story is badly narrated, the stand up acts were ruthlessly poor. I was expecting so much more.

Don't know why so much negative reviews.This one is a thoroughly enjoyable thriller series.Both Vir Das and Ranveer Shorey was good.Definitely there should be another season.

Lame jokes with below average storyline & worst dilouges. Didn't expect this from Das. It has few moments but on the whole it's a waste of talent & resources. Netflix is getting tricked with such indian content, shame.

Overall season one was interesting. I wanted to know more after every episode as the story continued. Acting by both main actors was done well. Supporting was ok. The whole concept of the series was unique. Comedy portion was done well while still maintaining the rest of the show. I'm sure there are flaws if you are looking hard for it. Overall the season finale could have been done better...or more suspenseful...but I definitely want to watch next season and see where this show is headed.

The concept is amazing but the comedy scenes are tooth bitingly unfunny and cringe.

Vir das seems to be indordinately inadequate for the lead role. Although je seems to be putting a lot of effort, but wasn't able to justify and relate to his roll. That itself makes it a slightly less interesting and indulging when the lead character itself is unappealing.

Secondly the comic scenes are sometimes cringe and other times simply unfunny. It has kind of nice story line but was not a rollercoaster ride as was expected from this seemingly amusing series!!

I loved it. Not sure why people are giving such bad reviews. Please don't read reviews...Watch and decide for yourself! As far as jokes are concerned, people are stupid to expect stand style jokes. Plot of the series shows Vir Das as a small town new comedian who doesn't know most things in modern world. Hence the jokes were written to suit the script. My advice to bad review givers... Watch stand comedy and tv series with separate mindsets...

Seriously Vir Das!!! Waste of time. I can't watch 2nd episode, too boring.

The premise of the story was so interesting. However, the writing and the acting were so below par that it got reduced to a mediocre show. It is definitely watchable, but from what it could have been to this. Vir Das is not as terrible as people think, but yes, he is doesn't have the acting chops to carry a series. Dissapointing.

Wrong casting .Disgusting vir das,He cannot even do a proper acting.why netflix taking him in many shows. If this continuous netflix india will disappear soon.. 👎👎👎👎 Hugly disappointed

Don't expect comedy here, it's a crime (without thrill) series. Whatever vir used to rise to fame, goes against him in last, as same ideas used by his competiter.

Many Of saying that the show is lame not good acting etc etc. First thing the whole creation is of Vir Das and He has improved alot in terms of acting. Second thing is this crime thriller with blend of dark comedy. You won't get LOL moments in every episode. There are flaws but one can ignore and enjoy the vir das creation.

A show about stand-up doesn't have enough jokes, some of them are really nice, but some you have heard through Whatsapp forward over the years. Ranvir Shorrey and Vir Das bond was the thing that I watched it till the end. TBH I expected more that is why all the reviews are from people who got disappointed yet I will call it as good watch, not great through. In the end, I just the feel the writers couldn't do justice with an interesting plot.

Vir das has set a certain standard for himself, when it comes to comedy at least. To see him crack such lame jokes throughout the series was rather disappointing. The script of the show was rather lax, its execution, even more so. Although Vir did surprise me as an actor but it wasn't enough to subdue the stench of everything else.

Murder(s), Mystery, Gangsters & Comedy in a package! Perfect & realistic portrayal of every character makes it seem so intense and innocent at the same time. Binged watched the whole thing, It's gripping! Go watch

Literally very bad casting. Direction is looking kinda confused to me. Didn't expect this from Netflix. Sorry to say Vir needs to do some work on his acting.

Ranvir shorey did briallian acting and vir das was also good... stand up jokes can be more better.. story was average and it can be improve as well.. overall not a bad series during lockdown in Pakistan.
