Laura Lancaster, Head, US SVOD TV Development and Series – Co-Productions, has expanded the roles of her top lieutenants Kara Smith and Tom Lieber in the department which handles development and production of series coming from outside studios. Smith, who was promoted from Head of Limited Series to Head of TV Development, SVOD Co-Productions in 2023, has been elevated to Head, Co-Production Drama, Comedy Development and Current Series.

Lieber, who was named Head of Scripted Series, UK in November and relocated to London, will return to the U.S. as Head, Co-Production Genre Development and Current Series.

However, when her ex-boyfriend, John, gets entangled in a life-threatening situation, her former employer gives her the opportunity to rescue John. Agreeing to become a part of the mission, Edie finds herself behind the wheel again as she gets pulled back to the past she has been running from. Written and directed by Shawn Simmons, the heist comedy thriller movie is packed with action and car chase sequences against some interesting backdrops, making the locations an important aspect of the overall narrative.

A House of Dynamite is a Kathryn Bigelow-directed Netflix film, coming to the streamer on October 24, 2025. The film is poised to be an explosive (literally) action thriller. It will also be Bigelow’s first film for the streamer since Aurora was scrapped.

Prime Video has seen some big hits this year. While the platform's original TV programming is led by titles such as Reacher and The Boys, it has also had a number of hits on the movie side of things.

Most recently, this has included Heads of State. Starring John Cena and Idris Elba, the film imagines that the U.S. President and U.K. Prime Minister have to team up when they both end up targets of a foreign adversary. With aliens sending a battle suit to Earth to create a Champion of Earth, four men accidentally shoot down a UFO, and see the battle suit, which is divided into four fragments. Each men take a piece while Adam (Alan Ritchson) has four days to train these men in terms of alien warfare.
