Battle Through the Heavens ("Fight Through the Sky") is a 2018 Chinese television series adapted from the eponymous novel Doupo Cangqiong written by Tian Can Tu Dou, who is better known by his pseudonym Tian Can Tu Dou. He has also written a novel, Wu Dong Qian Kun ("Martial Arts Reshapes the World"), and that novel was adapted as Wu dong qian kun (2018).
Tian Can Tu Dou ( born Dec 28, 1989. Other names: Heavenly silkworm potatoes; Tianma potatoes; Unending potatoes) is a famous mainland China online novelist. His adapted novels: "Wu Dong Qian Kun" adapted in to TV Series Wu dong qian kun (2018). "Dou Po Cang Qiong" was adapted into a TV series Battle Through the Heavens (2018).
Beginning October 1st, Battle Through The Heavens weekly airing was reduced to two episodes every Wednesday and Thursday at 10pm.
Lei Wu said that he gained muscle while filming because not only were the props heavy, he also had many action scenes.
On September 28, 2018, Liang sheng, Wo men ke bu ke yi bu you shang (2018) was bumped from prime-time to share the 10pm time slot with Battle Through The Heavens. This was done to make way for The Years You Were Late (2018). The reason is said to be due to a push for dramas that touch upon the economic reforms in China.
