I think this show is America. Giving hope to these poor souls that have no hope. The show is literally saving lives. Having problems of my own, I would love to be on it.

Some of these doctors are a joke. The one girl diagnosed with PCS; her doctor didn't listen to a freakin word she said, even the host called the doctor out on it. This should be called chasing the diagnosis........NOT cure! I was diagnosed with HH (Hereditary Hemochromatosis) and there is no cure. Using the word cure is just ignorant.

I think it releases a lot of good information. I went undiagnosed and then MISDIAGNOSED for several years, receiving the wrong treatment and wasting a lot of money. Any show that assists people and encourages them to find the right type of doctors that can accurately diagnose a disease is doing a great job. It gives people hope that there is an answer out there.

I think Ann Curry is doing a wonderful job as a host. She and her team are making a great contribution in getting doctors together to help patients who are looking for a diagnosis and treatment plan. You ROCK!

This show's format is like a telethon. I like the concept but the execution is odd. I'm not a fan.

As a former guest on the show, I first have to say this. The ENTIRE team at Chasing The Cure was amazing, from start to finish. I still get phone calls and texts from them to see how progress is going. Ann, the liaisons and the doctors were very nice and genuinely cared... it wasn't a wham bam... they spent time with us off camera before and after... I do believe they genuinely want to help people as well. Are there some kinks to work out, yes... the idea behind it is awesome...and because of the show I have connected with quite a few people and been able to help some who are going thru the same thing.... My case was a little different in that I was not looking for a diagnosis but help with my diagnosis... So it was a little out of the norm... I was connected with some docs in my area who are doing their best to help me, even in a very difficult situation. Yes, most of the care offered on CTC is free...but it offers hope and at least a direction to move toward... Because of some of the crowdsourcing aspect I was able to receive a lot of information I did not have before and could research.

Yes, the show is live...I can attest to that.... and yes it may seem hokey or contrived, but it really isn't. We are given some info and talking points, but no script... the questions and the answers are real. All of the Docs and Ann are very sincere, and trying to help. Think about the limited time they have to try to help as many as possible while educating TV America to what is going on or led to the issue...... And where they are sitting, etc shouldn't matter.... it actually made it more homey and less intimidating for me..... All in all the show is wonderful and trying to do something not really done before...not one of us is as smart as ALL of us...and that really is what it is all about.

No different than a typical afternoon "medical" talk show like Dr. Oz, only with some crowdsourcing which other shows have done for a while. Most of the program isn't even live; it's pre-recorded as the doctors already know the cases. Even the live part seems scripted (and poorly acted) like a reality show, especially the time devoted to telethon-like operators monitoring internet tweets and posts. The patients need real help, but it comes across as a spectacle.

I have loved every episode. I think it's great how the show looked for answers from doctors and the public. To me the folks that were helped have been given a new lease on life.

It's a shame that so many people don't have access to all the health care they need. It's a problem this country needs to address, but in the meantime a show like this gives people a way to get hope restored.

This show is awful. the doctors look silly in their round table discussions, forced and anyone w a brain knows that they aren't specialists in the rare diseases they are discussing. the show should focus on the patients, the smiley doctors talking to patients across a couch feels so insincere. these are not patients they have followed for months through their illness. also great all the docs are of color but that also feels forced and they speak in these whopping generalizations you won't be lonely any more now that we have done this amazing thing! please spare us.

I think any attempt of public television to help and not just merely to entertain should be applauded.

A terrible show- painful to watch as a medical professional. I agree with other reviews- a very odd format. It's supposed to be "live" but you can tell it's all pre-recorded. These are just problems a doctor can diagnose and usually with just a few tests.

I watched the show for all of 3 minutes, other than me waking up to it on constant reruns. Ann Curry comes off overly concerned. These people have been suffering long enough, they are not side-shows at a carnival. Help these people, quit with the updates on 200 calls, and show them months later after they are better.

The show has a great concept but horribly executed and just boring and not interesting. If you want to see the same concept done perfectly then watch "Diagnosis" on Netflix! It is so much better and well made and more engaging!

I would give more stars but I can't stand to listen to the host, Ann. She talks to the guests like they are 2 years old and is extremely fake. The way she touches them is also creepy and unnecessary. It makes it hard to watch the show.

I just watched the episode with the woman who had recieved head/neck radiation, and as a result, developed osteoradionecrosis of the jaw. I got excited because I deal with treating this EXACT situation regularly. I was very disappointed how this show "chased the cure" after the "doctors" researched and "helped".

At the end of the day, this show is intended to help others who suffer the same "uncommon" diseases, because there are many who suffer from this specific side effect of radiation (whether it be bone involved, or soft tissue ulcer) and anything else they review.

Not only were these "doctors" vague in the treatment (a doctor came on screen to say they were going to treat her free of cost leaving out the details of how to actually HELP) but they left out the treatments they are using and why, and didn't mention other treatments they did not use and why. There are advanced treatments aimed at this specific side effect that weren't even mentioned that could potentially benefit many viewers watching.

So let me guide anyone (since this show DIDN'T "chase the cure") who may suffer from osteoradionecrosis of the jaw, or anyone who suffers from a wound due to radiation, or someone who had radiation to prostate and has urine in blood.... (I could go one but I'll stick to radiation causes) ....................

HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY MARX Protocol is specifically designed to treat patients who suffer from osteoradionecrosis of the jaw. And there are countless studies proving how beneficial it is healing. It's also an approved indication by Medicare and most insurers which also shows it's been studied and proven to aide those who suffer. The show left out a VERY important detail by not mentioning the benefits of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

EDUCATE the audience, stop being so vague and giving no actual help to those who aren't on the tv show but are suffering at home with the same condition.

It is really nice to hear a patient that has been PROPERLY educated about their condition ask about specific treatments, and allow the specialist to determine whether or not they qualify for that.

The world needs to know more about Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. This allows patients to go to their doctors and ask for more details. No physician is perfect and can recall every treatment, and this could remind them about a beneficial treatment that has slipped their mind.

So PLEASE. PROPERLY EDUCATE those watching this show of the treatments you're using on the specific patient, and why you're not using others that could also help to allow those at home to chase their own cure.
