Sleep Token have announced their fourth album, Even in Arcadia, along with a Fall 2025 US arena tour. In advance of the LP’s May 9th release, the mysterious UK alternative-metal band has unveiled the single “Emergence.”

The stateside tour will kick off September 16th in Duluth, Georgia, and run through an October 11th show in Los Angeles. The outing will hit such cities as Brooklyn, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, and Denver, among others.

Tickets go on sale Friday (March 21st) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. The US run will be Sleep Token’s only headlining tour of 2025.

The fast-rising British act, whose band members’ identities remain undisclosed — only known as Vessel (lead vocals), II (drums), III (bass), IV (guitar) and Espera (backing vocals) — broke through in a big way with their previous album, 2023’s Take Me Back to Eden. The LP yielded the Top 5 rock hits “The Summoning” and “Granite.

Previously better known as the writer behind such comic book movies as Batman Begins, The Dark Knight and Man Of Steel, David S Goyer has moved into the tech arena with something called Emergence. It’s billed as the “first ever collaboratively-built entertainment franchise” in which other writers and artists will be able to contribute to its creative direction.

In a video announcing the venture (see below), Emergence is described as “a new sci-fi universe” and a “creative sandbox”. Goyer and his collaborators have established a broader backstory – about a galaxy in which mysterious, powerful objects tumble out of an inter-dimensional portal – while other people will eventually be able to step in and add characters and narrative detail. Call of Duty is arguably one of the biggest franchises in the gaming world. Since 2003, this franchise has given us some gaming gems which were some absolute treats for first-person shooter lovers. The legacy is well and truly being carried forward by the latest entry in the franchise, Black Ops 6.

Despite some initial stumbles, BO6 came out to be the biggest-ever launch any CoD title has ever seen. The game was heavily criticized for its launch maps, new movement mechanics, over-infestation by hackers, and many more issues. However, there’s no doubt that the game features one of the best campaign missions in the entire franchise, and the Emergence mission is just a glimpse of that.

Writer David Goyer has created Emergence, a world meant to be the first franchise on a new platform called Incention, which connects fans to expand and create intellectual property.

It basically allows studios and rights holders to open their IP to fans and other creators while leveraging AI to streamline licensing, revenue sharing and community engagement. The platform is built on the blockchain so ideas can be tracked and creators compensated.

Organizers are ambitious, hoping to introduce a new blueprint for building modern franchises through “collaborative creation” that can help avoid costly misfires on the big and small screens with early input from a passionate base. AI will help users sort through the content.

“In the current fragmented entertainment industry, AI’s growing influence holds immense opportunity, but also risks reducing franchises to formulaic outputs and potentially sidelining human creativity in a market that is saturated with content fatigue.

“Foundation” and “The Dark Knight” trilogy writer and producer David S. Goyer has set up a sci-fi franchise titled “Emergence” at Incention, a new platform that aims to “bring AI and blockchain to Hollywood, and redefine how modern franchises are developed.”

Centered around a white hole in a galaxy, the “Emergence” franchise will feature various storytelling mediums, including podcasts, comics and animations.

Built using blockchain AI storytelling platform Story, Incention will launch Goyer’s project to “showcase the potential of this revolutionary model” and “capture mainstream attention while redefining how IP evolves.” “Emergence” will be created by Incention users as well as through its generative AI tool, Atlas, which is designed to serve as a “creative partner” to help with common tasks like aggregating ideas, crafting narratives and generating full videos.

Per Incention, “Atlas will be able to autonomously post on social media platforms, community manage and gauge sentiment online to refine its creative process.

Allison Tolman became a breakout star in the first season of FX's Fargo, and then cracked up audiences voicing Pam's sister Edie Poovey in Archer. The campaign in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 hasn’t disappointed at all, however, fans have found a mistake in a certain mission that proves that Activision is too lazy. Players have discovered that the studio has used a vehicle model that is too modern a game that is set during the 1991 Gulf War.

This is not the first time this van has been used in the franchise as it first appeared in 2019’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. The vehicle choices and designs in Black Ops 6‘s campaign are mostly spot on, however, this specific part was messed up as it looked out of place.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has just been released. After completing the Modern Warfare trilogy, Activision is now looking to revive its Black Ops series. The last game in the series, Black Ops Cold War, didn’t get a proper reception from the fans, which is why all the honors lay on the shoulders of the recently launched title.

However, things are not going very well for BO6, as the game is heavily criticized for the new movement mechanics and launch maps. Still, the game features one of the best campaign missions in franchise history, one department in which Modern Warfare 3 failed miserably. Prepare for a very busy Halloween season ahead. Sunny Oak Films and Iconic Events Releasing (Terrifier 2) have announced the theatrical release date for found footage film Malibu Horror Story.

Following an expansive film festival run around the globe, the found footage horror film will hit theaters on October 20, 2023, with a limited release across North America.

Allison Tolman has been cast in “St. Denis Medical,” a comedy pilot at NBC from “Superstore” and “American Auto” creator Justin Spitzer.

The pilot is described as a mockumentary about an underfunded, understaffed Oregon hospital where the dedicated doctors and nurses try their best to treat patients while maintaining their own sanity.

Tolman will play Alex, the supervising nurse in St. Denis’ emergency department who is dedicated to providing excellent care to her patients, often sacrificing her personal life to maintain her high standards.

Tolman recently held the recurring role of Winnie McLendon in “Gaslit,” the Starz limited series based on the Watergate scandal. She is also known for starring as Molly Solverson in Season 1 of FX’s “Fargo,” which earned her a Critics Choice Award as well as nominations for an Emmy and a Golden Globe. Her other TV credits include “Why Women Kill” on Paramount+ and ABC’s “Emergence” and “Downward Dog.

Exclusive: Ali Ahn (Raising Dion) and Maria Dizzia (The Staircase) have been added to the cast of Agatha: Coven of Chaos, Marvel’s upcoming WandaVision spinoff series for Disney+.

They join lead Kathryn Hahn, who is reprising her role as WandaVision bad gal Agatha, male lead Joe Locke as well as Aubrey Plaza, who is believed to be playing a villainous role. Details about Ahn and Dizzia’s characters are being kept under wraps. A rep for Marvel declined comment.

In addition to Hahn, Emma Caulfield Ford also is expected to reprise the role of Dottie from WandaVision.

Hahn’s Agatha Harkness appeared in Disney+’s WandaVision, from series creator Jac Schaeffer. She won viewers over with her “Agatha All Along” number, is a witch from Salem and fan-favorite breakout character.

Schaeffer, who is under a joint overall deal with Marvel and 20th Television, serves as writer and executive producer on the spinoff.

NBC has handed a series order to Mike O’Malley’s family comedy.

Jon Cryer, Donald Faison and Abigail Spencer star in the untitled series, which Deadline understands is being lined up for next broadcast season.

The series follows Jim and Julia, who, after an amicable divorce decide to continue to raise their kids at the family home while taking turns on who gets to stay with them. Navigating the waters of divorce and child-sharing gets more complicated for Jim when the owner of his favorite sports teams enters the picture and wins Julia’s heart.

Two and a Half Men alum Cryer, who also exec produces, stars as Jim, a good-natured, sarcastic yet sincere corporate compliance officer who gets along famously with everyone including Julia, with whom he shares a close bond characterized by lots of laughter and warm feelings.

Exclusive: Harvardwood has unveiled its latest set of Writers Competition winners, also naming its Most Staffable TV Writer for 2022. (See the full list below.)

The official arts, media and entertainment alumni organization for Harvard University, Harvardwood looks to spotlight talented up-and-coming writers from diverse backgrounds and to connect them with mentors, as well as producers, agencies and management companies.

Writer-producers participating in this year’s program as mentors include Carlton Cuse (Lost), Mark Goffman (The Umbrella Academy), Teresa Hsiao (Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens), Colleen McGuinness (Life & Beth) and Jeff Melvoin (Killing Eve).

The winners of Harvardwood’s competition were chosen via a blind judging process. In addition to one-on-one mentorship, each will receive a cash prize.

A pair of TV veterans are teaming up with Jon Cryer on his new NBC pilot: Abigail Spencer (Timeless) and Donald Faison (Scrubs) have signed on to costar in the untitled multi-cam sitcom, our sister site Deadline reports.

Cryer stars as Jim, who gets divorced but agrees with his ex-wife Julia to keep living in the same home and raise their two kids together, taking turns staying with them. The arrangement gets complicated, though, when Julia starts dating the owner of Jim’s favorite sports team.

Robert Bailey Jr. has been cast in “The Son in Law,” an ABC comedy pilot from writer and executive producer Ajay Sahgal.

Bailey will play Benjamin Greene, an Emt in a relationship with Charlie (Evangeline Young), a recent college graduate with plans to go to law school that get upended when she unexpectedly becomes pregnant. A ‘thoroughly nice guy,’ Benjamin craves the approval of Charlie’s father Jake (Chris Sullivan).

Evangeline Young has been cast as Charlotte Walton in “The Son in Law,” a comedy pilot from ABC.

“The Son in Law” stars Chris Sullivan as Jake, a single father who never thought he would love again, until Asha came along. The problem is that Jake, a hard-working plumbing contractor, is solidly middle class, while Asha hails from the equivalent of uber-wealthy South Asian royalty. Jake wants to marry Asha, and while he still needs to ask Asha’s father for his blessing, the real stumbling block is Asha’s loving but controlling mother, who doesn’t hide her feelings about Jake being all wrong for her daughter.

Charlotte aka Charlie is Jake’s only child, and is described as a smart, tough social-justice minded recent college graduate who is deeply in love with her boyfriend Ben, an Emt with whom she lives in a third story walk-up in the Bronx.

Former NBC drama development exec Lisa Roos has been named head of television at Keshet Studios, the U.S.-based production arm of Keshet International.

In her new role, Roos will focus on developing original IP to bolster Keshet Studios’ ambitious lineup of limited and returning series. She will report to Keshet Studios president Peter Traugott.

Roos comes to Keshet from NBC, where she was most recently senior vice president of drama development. While at NBC, Roos worked alongside the Keshet Studios team on several projects in development as part of the studio’s ongoing production deal with Universal Television. Currently, Keshet Studios is co-producing NBC’s “La Brea” and David E. Kelley’s Peacock series “The Missing” with Utv, as well as co-developing several projects for various buyers, including ”After School Special,” ”Ties That Bind” and “The Stuntwoman.”

Prior to NBC, Roos was a development exec at Warner Bros. Television.
