Fun abd stylish tine travel adventure

Saw this at the FrightFest in London at the international premiere.

It's a fun story with great jokes and humour. The tine is set up within the first few minutes.

Just try not to think of the rules of time travel too much and enjoy the ridiculous fun.

a' mess'

Of a le visiteur movie, not at all related to the pure comedy futuristic consept called la visiteur made 20 years ago, about middleage knights visiting the present, films thatmade me laugh out loud along with my kids...if the premise was to make something similar its a big miss...

its a ''stop the apocalypse '' movie, with a mix of ideas from mad max, war z, back to the future, even star trek and starwars ideas are even used along with all the others zombiotic features made in the past, , a super generic scifi movie that may not hit the usa market, most probably not on the domestic market of france except for the extreme environmentalists, antinucleists and the most greenhorned of the greenocks of the green movement, because the message is a microcosmos of climate change and ruining the earth metaphorical testament, not so cleverly scripted, though containing some witty funny acting, but most of all undermined with so many loopholes that i lost the count on them.

This is a ''we dont need another hero'' movie, a film that doesnt scream out for another watch, some nice filmtechnical puffs, but not enough to mesmerize a grumpy old man.

Semi Cheap movie

Semi low class or let's say cheap movie ((The movies which are less than 1 and half hour )) ... This movie is a copy of The Terminator series movies but very very way to reach Terminator movies . Visual effects casting was not as good as Terminator. I don't like Enya Baroux and Arnaud Ducret acting in this movie ,, But Vincent Tirel play is good (( My point of view)) . Director is a a screenwriter in many television projects and produced several commercials.!!!! And now he Direct this movie !!! So what do you expect the result??? That is why I call it semi cheap or low class movie. I love movies with time traveler theme but not this one.

thoroughly enjoyable

This film had me hooked right from its very funny start. I would say its a better multiverse film than anything that Marvel have done, at a lower expense obviously.

For a relatively low-budget film the plot is extremely well paced and scripted, the costumes, sets, CGI and effects are really well done and the humour throughout is spot on. Some of the jokes are brilliant. It covers familiar themes but in a funny and entertaining way.

All time travel films create paradoxes and this one is no different, but is self-aware and good fun to watch.

The actors seem like they're having fun making the film and I enjoyed it so much I want to find more films in a similar style or by the same filmmakers.

What a RIPPER!

Got this film not expecting much, hadn't heard of any of the actors, but this just blew my socks off!

I watched it in French with English subtitles, and the subs were very well done, well synched and accurate. I just love an intricate plot that still holds together, makes sense, and keeps me guessing; this was exactly that, and the ending was totally enjoyable (but had me guessing right to the very end!)

The Visitor from the Future reminded me in some ways of Les Visiteurs, the 1993 French comedy starring Jean Reno; it took people from the past & brought them to the present & vice-versa, and I greatly enjoyed that movie as well. Like that film, this also has humor; some slapstick & some more nuanced, but it has a more serious vein under the humor.

The actors were perfect for their roles, and I just loved the changing relationships between Alice and her father, as the theme of "saving the world" was played out, and the consequences of changing the past and how that affects the future was explored.

MORE like this one, PLEASE! I can't recommend it enough, to me it was perfect, and I just wish I could travel back in time to when I hadn't seen it, so that I could watch it again for the first time!

Very fun sci-Fi comedy

A very light, unpretentious sci-fi comedy that needs some context: this movie is based on a french web-series around 2010, which was very popular amongst geeky young adults of the time. The movie keeps the spirit of the series, even though you don't need to have seen the web series to watch this movie.

It makes fun of genre tropes from apocalypse to zombies to temporal paradoxes and has to be taken lightly. I laughed a lot and my kids enjoyed it too. The special effects are surprisingly good for such a small budget movie, as well as the costumes and make up.

I'm afraid some of the fun would be lost in translation, as the actor speaks a very casual, slang-from-the-2000's language, which really participates in the humour and atmosphere of the movie.

Highly recommended for a fun movie, especially if you were of this generation (older millenials) and/or used to watch No Life in France.
