Bernie the Dolphin 2 is a sequel to the first film that continues to follow Bernie, Holly (portrayed by Lola Sulton), and Kevin (portrayed by Logan Allen). During this, Winston (portrayed by Kevin Sorbo) is released from prison after the events of the first film and is again brought into the mix.
This film has a lot of flaws. At 99 minutes the film feels way too long and could have had minutes shaved off to keep the viewer engaged. The CGI used to show the dolphins jumping out of the water - namely at the end of the film - is really bad. And while I can appreciate that children actors are normally not great, Holly and Kevin's characters are not even average. This feels like a straight-to-TV Disney movie. Overall, while I understand the genuine story being told, the attempt at doing so was pretty poor - 2/10.
