The entire movie was shot in 12 days and the entire core cast were only together for 48 hours.

Anticipating the controversy that the ending of the film would create, Director Ryan Hendrick and actors Natalie Clark & Kenny Boyle decided to film an alternate "Hallmark-esque" ending. This ending was never intended to be used, but made as a precaution to show distributors just how bad an idea it would be if the suggested changes. The alternate ending has never been seen.

The voice of the taxi dispatcher is that of Clare Sheerin, who played Jen in the original short.

Filming the forest sequence had to be abandoned on the first attempt after gale force winds made it unsafe to film. The make up caravan was blown across the car park as a result.

Features a number of Doctor Who alumni in the cast including Sylvester McCoy (the Seventh Doctor), Frazer Hines (Jamie McCrimminon), and Caitlin Blackwood (Amelia Pond).
