ViX will be offered on Atresplayer with no ads, and offer customers in Spain a library of 15,000 hours of content, live sport from several Liga Mx teams in Mexico and an extensive library of Spanish-language telenovelas, comedies and dramas such as La Mujer del Diablo, El Gallo de Oro, El Extraño Retorno de Diana Salazar, Más Allá de Ti and Pacto de Sangre and films including ¿Quieres ser mi Hijo? and Bendita Suegra.

Chile’s Fabula and Spain’s Alea Media have unveiled they are allying on development of “A Long Petal of the Sea,” based on a 2019 novel by Isabel Allende.
Alea Media founder Aitor Gabilondo will serve as showrunner on the series which is scheduled to go into production by the end of 2025.

Cecilia Mato and Lucas Vivo García Lagos, founder of Navajo Films Argentina and Intro Pictures Brazil, have joined forces to launch Navajo Films Uruguay.
“We interpret the idea of ‘bringing a fresh perspective to the industry’ as infusing new ideas, creativity and a unique approach into our work. Despite being two young individuals, we bring a wealth of experience to the table. Our goal is to produce IP that resonates with us as viewers,” said Mato, previously at Salado.
“Our country has immense creative potential and we are committed to contributing to the development of the local and international audiovisual industry. The partnership with our colleagues in Brazil and Argentina allows us to explore new creative frontiers,” she added.
Mariano Kohan has been tapped as executive producer.
Mato also opened up about two projects accompanying the launch, starting with “Menem,” exploring the life and legacy of former Argentine president Carlos Menem.

Miami-based production powerhouse Btf Media has announced new appointments and promotions to expand its management team and position in Spanish-speaking markets.
Company founders Ricardo Coeto and Francisco Cordero will now serve as co-CEOs of the company. Cordero will lead business affairs and Ricardo creative affairs.
The film-tv company, whose recent projects include a Frida Kahlo TV series co-produced with the Frida Kahlo estate, has appointed industry veteran Yoselín Pérez Valdez as SVP of sales.
