The film is a complete re-work of Fritz Lang's Le diabolique docteur Mabuse (1960). Director Dominik Kuhn, who is known in the German-speaking world as 'Dodokay' from his comedic dubs in Swabian (a south German accent) on YouTube, was allowed by the original's producers to 'remix' it. He completely re-cut the film, shot additional footage, re-formatted it to 2.35:1, fitted the new version with a new story line, visual effects, new sound design, a score by Dennis Le Rose and finally dubbed all the original voices himself, as he does in his YouTube franchise.

Goofs
When Yvonne Müller (Marielouise Nagel) gets down to pick up her purse, Commissioner Krass (Gert Fröbe) gets up from his bar stool behind her twice.

It's a Mockbuster of an old German Crime Movie

'Die 1000 Glotzböbbel vom Dr. Mabuse' is just making fun of it's original by having a new dub. Some jokes are good, some mediocre, some booring. It's mostly for German audience, because the humor consists of the differences from swabian accent to the official language. That makes it funny for Germans, but I doubt that people who don't understand swabian will get the fine inner German humor.
