Seneca is a simple story told masterfully. If you've ever had a dream, if you've ever left a home to build a new home, if you ever feared you weren't enough, you will relate to this beautiful film. Also, Adly Guirgis is ICONIC and the images from Puerto Rico are unforgettable. Watch it!!! Indie film rocks.
Few movies show New York the way it truly is. Seneca takes its talent (both in front of and behind the camera) and gives a grounded, nuanced look at New York City with a story that feels real and relatable.
If you're looking for a treat - watch Seneca. It's got the kind of soul that filmmakers aspire to portray in their films. It tells a beautiful story, very raw and real. I don't see a person who wouldn't find something to identify with. Highly recommended.

One can only wonder why movies like these get made. This was just a series of scenes, randomly stuck together, in the hope that they would make a movie! The 10/10 reviews must be from the film maker and friends! Don't waste your time on this at all!
A window into a hard reality. Well done - pulls on all the heartstrings for all the right reasons. Highly recommend!
Cote had almost no screen time. So I was left with a boring movie about a boring guy's boring life. All these 10/10 reviews had me so fooled! Zzzzzzzzzz...
"Seneca" is a uniquely relatable exploration of compounding emotional trauma, racism in America, and having to make hard decisions about what's truly important for a meaningful, authentic life. It's also the only spot-on depiction I've seen of life as a working actor in New York. Such a gorgeous film that everyone should see!
