Homestay impressively combinning movie genres: fantasy, horror, thriller, romantic, drama and comedy with the unusual plot and some outrageous twists will certain leave its viewers entertained.

Great plot, good cast especially Teeradon's performance. The visual effect/CG look familiar but well and neatly done. Overall. It's worth watching.

This film is inspired from the Japanese novel, Colorful. Overall, actors, CG, plot are do really good. I think teenagers do like it. But, I think this adapted film has a problem about plots. There are not many differences from the original novel as we seen from some films adaptation. So, if you have ever read the book before, the main point or some secrets might not make tremendous impact as it should do.

By the way, I think this film is a good one.

Good quality and fill with many emotion. The storyline is great and there are many good reason in it.

"Homestay" is a Drama - Fantasy movie in which we watch a young man waking up in a hospital where some people inform him that he is a spirit who has been given a second chance to life in his body but he has to find out the reason why the previous owner of this body committed suicide.

I liked this movie very much because it had a very clever plot, mystery and much of suspense. During its whole duration it was an emotional roller coaster and the way Parkpoom Wongpoom, who was responsible for the direction, he presented his main character, his family and the plot in general was simply amazing. In addition to this, the interpretation of Teeradon Supapunpinyo who played as Min was very good. To sum up, I have to say that "Homestay" is a nice movie and I recommend everyone to watch it.

Oh man this movie is just amazing, whether you would like to watch it with friends, girl friend, family it will blow your mind, trust me I am a movie lover and this movie by far has gone first in my top 5 movies, full of action, emotion, inspiring, cool special effects and much more... you have to watch it to know what I mean.. absolutely loved it.

I'm currently placed to teach in Wang Nam Yen, Sa Kaeo (rural area), Thailand with one of my friends. We are making the most of our time here and always try to keep ourselves busy so that we won't get homesick. We decided to go watch this movie to buy some time before the night market. When we finished the movie we both walked out the theatre with heavy hearts and we were practically crying inside. Because this movie put a big emphasis on family. This movie made us miss our family so much......Overall, it was a great movie! it was a emotional roller coaster ride for us and we enjoyed every bit of it!

I have watched it 3 times alread, it's never get bored and there's alot of plot twist which made this movie is more attractive ❤

I'm not sure , How I'm gonna feel if I keep continue watch this film until the end. But too bad , I just can't. (feel a lil bit waste of my ticket)

Personally I don't like Acting part ...it's a lot of overacting and can't convince me to believe. It's like a blocking of movement, dialog and action ...really unnatural for me.

Moreover I don't like Sound design and Soundtrack that try to build up feeling and It's too much until I start to felt annoy.

Plus Violence part that I felt it's not neccessary (I guess from original plot) So everything become too much for me. Too much melodrama , Too much build-up . Too much try to make things excite and even I try hard to keep watching.

But I can't and end-up walk out from cinema.

Rewatched this movie after 6 years. Now I have a lot of problems and lost my identity and have suicidal thoughts. I cried a lot compared when i watched it for the first time. With this movie I hope I can keep continue. This movie is masterpiece and I already watched the anime version. The music the videography are godtier.

The first time I watched it when i was in college. I already had suicidal thought when i was in highschool. Back then I already adored this movie. After 6 years, everything changes i graduated from college and lost my job. This movie brings back memories even though I forgot a lot of scenes. And still this movie hits hard after 6 year.

While the credits acknowledge that this was "inspired" by Eto Mori's 1999 novel, which was already filmed twice before, the truth is that everything original about this movie - the premise, the idea of a not-so-nice guardian angel, and the final revelation - comes from the novel.

This film presents some really problematic views about women which are not part of the original story, namely how the protagonist treats his mother and girlfriend. The director and screenwriter make it seem that females are to blame if their suffering causes the male protagonist to feel bad about himself. In the original, his motive has more substantial and understandable reasons. In this story, he is utterly selfish. The local reviews upon reviews basically said the same thing, and that the weak script is only carried by the lead's devoted performance.

Watch the 2010 anime version "Colorful" instead, it is superior in every way.
