My Dress-Up Darling was one of anime's more recent sleeper hits, catching fans by surprise with its unique spin on the rom-com genre. After gaining quite a bit of fanfare, a second season was announced only a few months following the anime's final episode. Almost three years later, however, fans wondered why the series hadn't yet returned. Now, fans can rejoice, as My Dress-Up Darling Season Two has been officially confirmed for a 2025 release by CloverWorks.
The confirmation comes from a blurb on the cover of Young Gangan magazine, detailing the 2025 release window. While the anime has been away, the original manga by Shinichi Fukuda has steadily been released, retaining and even building on the anime's success. Fans have been craving more of Kitagawa Marin and Wakana Gojou's cosplay romance journey, and the anime will finally continue in 2025. Momo Ayase from Dandadan is a tough character. She is a little jaded by life and doesnt let anything get to her too much. She also just happens to have psychic abilities that grant her immense power. But the most important thing to her is her fashion.
Momo is a fun and easily likable character. She is a self-proclaimed gyaru, and she is extremely courageous. Her temper can flare up at inopportune times, but she cares for those in need. Although Dandadan has only had three episodes so far, Momo has easily become a fan-favorite character. This has led some fans to wonder about other characters who are similar to her. Thankfully, plenty of anime characters across various genres have many similarities to Momos personality.

With growing popularity of anime, most streaming platforms have updated their catalogue with the availability of the latest anime titles. A single show can be found on different websites, which at first seems like a good thing but isn’t really. Especially when you consider that sometimes a show could be scattered across platforms. Kill la Kill was first released in 2013, and to this day, the anime enjoys a dedicated fanbase and substantial popularity across the world.

Anime streaming service Crunchyroll is reeling fans in with its latest original series, “Negative Positive Angler.” Set to debut this October, the emotionally complex sports drama hails from acclaimed studio Nut Animation and director Yutaka Uemura.
Blending the conventions of fishing and tear-jerking drama, “Negative Positive Angler” follows college student Tsunehiro Sasaki as he finds purpose through an unlikely hobby. Burdened with debt and a bleak medical diagnosis, Sasaki is rescued from debt collectors by eccentric fishermen Hana Ayukawa and Takaaki Tsutsujimori. The eccentrics introduce Sasaki to the meditative sport, which becomes an outlet for his depression.
Helming the project is Uemura, known for fantasy series like “Saga of Tanya the Evil” and sci-fi thriller “Deca-Dence.” He aims to infuse the sports anime genre, often seen as lighthearted, with gravitas. “This story depicts how fishing transcends trivial recreation and becomes a lifeline in times of darkness,” said Uemura.

High school anime that truly capture adolescence make stories about growth and self-discovery more relatable and genuine. Characters in these titles navigate the wonders and woes of youth, dealing with realistic struggles and societal pressures. Shows like The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai showcase relatable adolescent experiences while still delving into the supernatural and the mysterious.
As common as anime with high school settings may be, they rarely justify their settings, instead telling stories that would have worked just as well in any other circumstances. On the other hand, the best anime that capture what it's truly like to be a teenager revolve entirely around adolescence, along with all of its wonders and woes.
Unlike series whose teenage protagonists behave completely unrealistically, making it difficult to understand why a high school setting was chosen at all, these titles genuinely understand the teenage experience.

Sharp dialogue in anime elevates the storytelling, adding depth and maturity to the character interactions. Some anime showcase this through grounded storytelling and a focus on mental and political intrigue. Other anime accomplish it through clever writing that rewards the viewer for paying attention.
Some of the best shows to watch, anime or otherwise, are often the ones with sharp, witty, or otherwise smart dialogue. Stories that have characters try and outwit one another can be just as entertaining as big, explosive battles, and watching everyone trade clever and thoughtful dialogue is an easy way to inject a level of maturity and overall craft that not all stories manage to convey.
Sharp dialogue is always great to see in anime, and some are better at it than others. The basic hallmark of an anime with sharp dialogue is any anime that has its characters engaging in dialogue based on logic,...

Given the creativity of the medium, it shouldn't be surprising that absurd anime are released once in a while, pushing the envelope in terms of what types of stories can be told. Whether they take a familiar context and use it to subvert expectations, or tell a completely new story with an unlikely premise, there are plenty of ways to create ridiculous situations.
Nonsensical shows aren't guaranteed to work – in fact, more often than not, basing a story on a premise that shouldn't work can be disastrous if not handled correctly. Sometimes, though, everything clicks into place and creates something truly special that encapsulates fans.
