Spanish actor Gabriel Guevara, star of Prime Video young adult romance “My Fault,” was arrested Saturday night in Venice for sexual assault, according to media reports. He was arrested by Spanish police on an outstanding warrant out of France.

The news was first reported by Venice’s La Nuova.

Filming Italy has reportedly canceled giving Guevara the award as a “precautionary measure,” according to media reports, pending the result of the actor’s case. TheWrap has reached out to Filming Italy for comment — the organization is unrelated to the festival itself.

Amazon, Ficción Bow ‘3 Caminos’ as Spain’s Navarre Hikes Tax Credits

Shot partly in Navarre, Northern Spain, TV drama “3 Caminos” bowed Jan. 22 on Amazon Prime Video, as the region, a burgeoning film-tv hub and shoot locale, has just hiked its already substantial incentives for the audiovisual industry.

A six-episode TV drama, “3 Caminos” turns on five people of different nationalities that forge their friendship along the St. James Way in three particular moments of their lives. Laced with comedy, the three different pilgrimages, framing problems, conflicts and tensions of the ordinary world, also reveal the Way as a spiritual as well as physical journey.

For La Coruña-based Ficción Producciones, “3 Caminos” marks a first international TV drama foray. Set up at Ficción, the series was structured as a co-production with Amazon Prime Video, top European producer-distribution powerhouse Beta Film, South Korea’s 239 Studios and Portugal’s Cinemate.

Le Crépuscule des aigles (1994)
Spanish TV Industry Adjusts to Harsh Realities of the Coronavirus Crisis
Le Crépuscule des aigles (1994)
The Spanish TV industry has been shaken by the dramatic impact of the coronavirus crisis, but it is fighting back.

Industry players have reacted fast, pushing forward with development, post-production and other business activities using online tools, and with the expectation of supporting funds from both public and private initiatives that will mitigate the effects of the crisis in production.

As has been the case in the local film sector, TV fiction production has been halted, with some 30 TV drama project shoots suspended.

Despite huge difficulties, the TV networks haven’t stopped broadcasting live, operating as normally as possible. Live programming, held without the presence of audiences, continues. News programs, crucial in crisis times, are breaking ratings records. There is, though, a higher than usual presence of reruns.

The release of original TV dramas, a key content for VOD platforms, is being adapted to the exceptional circumstances.

HBO has postponed the keenly-awaited launch of “Patria,...

Spanish Remake Of ‘Skam’ Returns to Movistar + on March 28
Madrid — Movistar +, the pay TV unit of telco giant Telefonica, has set a March 28 release for Season 2 of “Skam España,” the Spanish remake of Norwegian cult web-tv hit teen drama “Skam” (“Shame”) whose plot, at least in the second season, begins to diverge from the Nordic original.

Produced in collaboration with Zeppelin TV, part of EndemolShine Iberia, “Skam España” is a transmedia production that runs daily online and weekly as a complete episode on demand via Movistar + platform.

The blog-style series follows the everyday life of five first-year student girls at a public-sector high school. It tracks them through their heartbreaks, partying and the challenges young people face on the cusp of adulthood.

Originally produced by Norwegian pubcaster Nrk, the series format has been already adapted for the U.S. (Facebook Watch), France (France Télévisions), Germany (Zdf) and Italy (TIMVision), among other territories. Nrk and Beta Film hold the international rights for the format.
