Bariki ‘Bar’ Smith Arrested On Several Felony Charges

Apparently, there was a warrant out for Bar’s arrest on July 4 for “failure to pay.” This was likely referring to back child support. The warrant was still active at the time of his arrest on July 7 and now the Teen Mom star is facing additional charges.

The “Teen Mom” reality franchise is back with the new trailer for “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter” and the forthcoming MTV series will feature some of the show’s most iconic alums.

“You were there when they first became moms, now be there as they turn their next page — together,” the trailer teases. From pregnancy to parenthood, the next installment will include cast members from “Teen Mom Og” and “Teen Mom 2″ in this “super-sized new series.”

The 15-episode spin-off series, set to premiere in September, will follow Amber Portwood, Ashley Jones, Briana DeJesus, Catelynn Lowell Baltierra, Cheyenne Floyd, Jade Cline, Leah Messer and Maci Bookout.

“The celebrations are bigger, the relationships are stronger, but the setbacks are tougher than ever,” the trailer explains. “The moms are back and have each other’s backs in the biggest ‘Teen Mom’ ever.”

The “Teen Mom” universe is expanding once again. The 15-episode show unites the casts of “Teen Mom Og” and “Teen Mom 2” and will follow the moms as they face the reality of parenthood as each are in many different stages. MTV has released another season of Teen Mom: Young & Pregnant with four new moms as they navigate the challenges of being a mother and a teenager. The new season is unlike any other as the moms are filming together, not separately like the moms of the original 16 & Pregnant were required.

Since the franchise's controversial premier in 2009, the four original teen moms have grown up before the eyes of television viewers, with most staying on MTV to film Teen Mom Og and the new Teen Mom The Next Chapter. However, some original moms have moved on to other careers in the spotlight or focused on motherhood with no cameras.

ViacomCBS veteran Tiffany Lea Williams, who received her first executive producer credit with BET’s hit reality series College Hill, is returning to the network as EVP, Unscripted Programming and Development. In her new role, Williams will lead all of BET’s Unscripted Programming functions, including Development, Casting and Production for the BET linear channel as well as BET+. She will report to BET President Scott Mills.

Exclusive: Viacom’s MTV Group has promoted four executives in its content group to Senior Vice President. Veteran MTV executive Bahareh Kamali has been named Svp/Head of Strategic Development, adding Cmt, MTV Studios, MTV Documentary Films and Scripted to her purview. Additionally, Dara Cook has been elevated to Svp/Original Franchise Programming and Benjamin Hurvitz and Sitarah Pendelton to SVPs/Original Series. All four, who were previously Vice Presidents, will report to President of Entertainment Nina L. Diaz. Three of them, Cook, Hurvitz and Pendelton, launched their executive careers at MTV having joined the company as writers/showrunners.
