Pretty bad. sorry not sorry.. making movie for ONLY commercial purpose only took you this 3 rated star far. or is it too far for this movie?
The things that are happening here feels too rushed, at one moment you're seeing the beginning, then at another moment you just witnessed the movie. Also, this movie relies only on jumpscare values, the only scary things are the jumpscares, which is pretty expected. Overall, this movie wasn't that bad, but in the scare ratings, it falls pretty flat.
Some moral messages that I get from this film :
1. Give extra attention to your pregnant wife.
2. We must be sensitive to help others, especially our parents.
3. Pregnant women are not recommended to carry heavy loads.
4. Watch and take good care of the baby, right, and full of care. Because they don't understand anything and are very vulnerable.
5. A myth or public belief is mostly just a story, but some are true.
6. Don't like to put off something very important to do.
7. Don't hesitate to apologize to someone we have wronged him.
8. We must be patient with parents who have forgotten or are senile.
9. Do the prayer and multiply dhikr and pray to God, so that the heart becomes calm and peaceful.
10. Greet people when you meet them, don't be surprised.
11. Ask for help from people who are experts in their fields.
12. No matter how bad your child does, he is still your child.
13. Get closer to God Almighty, because all are submissive and obedient to Him.
14. Don't take things that belong to people we don't know who owns it, unless we want to help find out who owns the goods.

Only jumpscare and not fun, and not scary at all , only jumpscare in this movie i think
Asih, directed by Awi Suryadi, is a horror film from Indonesia that acts as a prequel to the popular Danur series. With its chilling atmosphere and a heartbreaking backstory, Asih manages to carve a space for itself among Southeast Asian horror cinema, earning a solid 7 out of 10.
The film explores the tragic origin of one of the most iconic spirits in the Danur universe, offering a new perspective that combines supernatural horror with emotional storytelling. Shareefa Daanish once again delivers a chilling performance as Asih. Her presence is haunting, yet strangely sorrowful, adding layers of complexity to a character often seen only as a source of fear.
One of the strongest aspects of Asih is its mood. From the cinematography to the eerie sound design, the movie creates a consistent sense of dread that lingers throughout. The use of shadow and silence is particularly effective in building suspense without relying too heavily on jump scares.
However, the pacing of the narrative can feel uneven at times. Certain scenes drag, while others rush through potentially powerful moments. The emotional core of the story-Asih's tragic life-could have been explored in greater depth to allow for a more impactful connection with the audience.
Despite its flaws, Asih succeeds in creating an unsettling atmosphere and offers a story that's more than just a typical ghost tale. It gives humanity to its ghost, making viewers feel sympathy instead of just fear. While not groundbreaking, it's a solid entry in Indonesian horror that fans of the genre will likely appreciate.
