Being Greedy is bad for you and Also people at the top are not always untouchable.

The story here is of the male and female leads. The male is a professor who has aspirations to being a politician and his wife the female lead has aspirations to being the director of the art gallery where she works. The husband saves an elderly man who sets himself on fire. This catapults him to his chance as he tries to make a difference. The wife seduces the chairman and also seduces the artist to get to the level of director to replace the current director played by Mi-Ran and gets him to sign on as the new artist of the gallery. Little did they both know that both the political party that the husband was in and the art gallery that the wife worked at were working together to launder black money. In the end the husband and wife were able to free themselves from these people and the members of both the art gallery and the political party went to jail. It's worth the watch especially with the supporting actress Mi-Ran being good as usual in the role of the evil director.

A beautiful final work of art...

Very good, it would be a portrait of the South Korean High Society, a lot of beauty, wealth, ambition, glamor and very unscrupulous... They wrote "There is no love line between Lee Jin Wook and Soo Ae", I agree, but that is the intention, the union for ambitious chemistry, relationship with compatible interests, the affection and respect between them... I really liked the outcome, giving the vote, after blackmail and exhibitions, a beautiful final work of art...

    actually talking about desire

This has little to do with the upstream society, but rather the desire to speak. How many people can resist the temptation of desire? The good thing about the film is that every major character shows the right desire. The bad thing is that the plot is old-fashioned, the erotic content is a bit more, and the end is really bad.

    Forgotten Morals

Ambition can be quite deceiving. But it is not just the ambition a person has himself, but also that of individuals who are close to that person. And the theme here is quite something. Infidelity is wrong (at least morally above all) - but how does that make an impact on a couple? And what lengths should they go for their own goals? It is these questions the movie asks, that are quite riveting and that are really relatable.

I am a bit surprised this has such a low rating and I have a bit of an affection towards Korean movies from the get go, so maybe I am biased. But as mentioned this really does not just go for society as a whole (not only the upper class, though they are the "main" target), but really focuses on the personal level and sacrifices when it comes to the way to the top ... The ending may be something that people will disagree with, but I liked where it went and I liked the realness of the characters too (flaws and all)
