Wisdom and Wit

Just purchased and watched the movie on Vimeo. One of my favorite plays! It is a debate play between faith and reason where Chesterton allows the audience to be the judge. Love how subtle they kept the humor and small ironic facial responses. Reminded me of a little of a less crazy Wes Anderson style. So much wit and sincerity was brought to this production!

Exceptional

It is a perfect adaptation of Chesterton's play in just over an hour of runtime. The actors are great, the humour is delivered with the right punches, and dare I say this is an improvement on the play. The few effects which were needed are done well and the costumes and setting are superb.

I wish all of Chesterton's works are as good as this.

With just a very tiny adjustment here and there it would have been really first rate. But considering that this is not a Hollywood production, I can look past it.

I am particularly impressed by Vincent Parfitt. He reminds me of a younger looking Liam Neeson. He delivers his role with gravitas. You can see the dark but mystical side of the Conjurer in his face.

Superb!
