It is quite possible given the show's popularity on Netflix. In a Collider interview, showrunners Hinderaker and Goldberg have also hinted on what a potential second season would be about. As of September 8, 2020, Netflix has not yet made any formal announcement regarding Season 2.

Given there is a station on the moon... this is obviously set in the future. Some of the reviews are chastising the communication between earth, the moon and the Atlas... but given there is now a station on the moon, perhaps the communications have been improved.
