Sony Pictures Animation's first R-rated film.

The fifth theatrically released computer-animated film to be rated R by the Motion Picture Association (MPA) after South Park, le film : Plus long, plus grand et pas coupé (1999), Terkel i knibe (2004), Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters (2007) and Sausage Party : La Vie privée des aliments (2016).

The first movie by Sony Pictures Animation to be rated R, as, despite popular belief, Sausage Party : La Vie privée des aliments (2016) was from Annapurna Pictures, not Sony Pictures Animation.

The film will be animated by Renegade Animation, famous for animating Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi (2004).
