Gülperi

nothing new

The lead motif for see it - the work of Nurgul Yesilcai. Her Gulperi is not original, off course . But it is decent made, exploring the nuances of the drama of a single mother in fight against the hostile family of her husband. Cliches - maybe too many. But the soap opera - Turkish, Latino american, from U.S.A. or India are not different. The recipe for give the emotion and the surogate of life is the same. The bad characters are the same . The drama of motherhood is easy to use for succes. And Gulperi, like each soap opera, has its precise target. Who knows, who expect exactly what the serie gives. Short, not bad serie. Aspects from traditional Turkish life style, the storms of desires and the fight for her rights, the relations with the children and the high sacrifices of the lead character, the love story and the second chance. Nothing original, off course. But a decent story, decent performances.

Turkish

Like any Turkish tv series, they try to add comedy in what was supposed to be a drama, as might be expected in such tv series are plenty off abuse towards women's and kids.

My Cup of Tea

I'm sad there is only one season of Gülperi I will truly miss this series. Although some People might say the story is old and predictable I respect their opinions however if you are a person who enjoys drama this series is for you!! I never felt bored not even a second, the story is so powerful and complicated it just makes you want to watch the entire season in one day. The directing, the acting, the plot everything was on point. Burak Dakak nailed the role of Hassan one of my favorite characters in this series he was so good he made me cry and laugh I will never forget the story of Gulperi and her children
