“Let’s do more of that”: Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Has One Feature Taken Straight from Doom 2016
Image
The gaming fraternity is hyped up with the third-person hack-n-slash shooter Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2. Inspired by the hugely popular franchise, this game is going to be a direct sequel to the first game that was launched over two decades ago.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 is going to be launched on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows.

The game has already been launched on September 5, 2024, in an early-access version, but everyone is waiting for its full launch on September 9. To replicate the success of its predecessor, the developers might have taken inspiration from a popular first-person shooter of 2016 as well.

Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Is Following the Foot Steps of Doom

Space Marine of 2011 was one of the most popular titles of all time. Naturally, there are huge expectations regarding its sequel as well, to carry the legacy of the franchise forward.

1 Agents Of Shield Character Really Needs A Reboot As Part Of Phase 5
Image
Deathlok could be rebooted in the Marvel Cinematic Universe during Phase 5, as Agents of Shield's character could fit within the technological corner of the franchise. The ABC Marvel series used plenty of characters from Marvel's comics during the course of its seven-season run. Whether it was major heroes like Mockingbird (Adrianne Palicki), Quake (Chloe Bennet), or Ghost Rider (Gabriel Luna), Agents of Shield always made sure to include characters that comic readers would recognize. This included introducing Deathlok, played by J. August Richards, in Agents of Shield season 1.

So far, no characters from Agents of Shield have crossed over with the MCU. However, rumors suggest that this could change in Phase 5 with Quake's return. This could go a long way in determining if Agents of Shield is MCU canon or not. Regardless of which side of the debate Marvel Studios ultimately takes, not every character featured on the show will come back.

7 Moments That Explain Why Sheriff Stilinski Is A Teen Wolf Favorite
Image
When it comes to Teen Wolf, many side characters, like Sheriff Noah Stilinski, have stood out throughout the series for a number of reasons. Stilinski appeared in all six seasons of Teen Wolf as Stiles father and the sheriff of Beacon Hills. Although he started the show as an authority figure to be avoided, he later developed into someone that the main characters could trust and cared about deeply.

Sheriff Stilinski became a fan favorite mainly because of the many countless meaningful moments he had on-screen and the deep relationships he built with other Teen Wolf characters in the series. With each bit of screen time he had, there were unforgettable moments of emotion or comedy that made him stick out in viewers' minds.

The MCU Already Introduced The X-Men’s Best Phase 7 Enemies
Image
Phase 7 may be the start of the McU's Mutant Saga, and before the X-Men make their official debut, their rivals may already have been introduced, the Inhumans. Phase 4 hasn't held back on providing clues to the introduction of MCU mutants, as evidenced by the appearances of Patrick Stewart's Professor X in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Namor the Submariner in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, as well as She-Hulk: Attorney At Law's references to Wolverine, just to name a few. The Multiverse Saga may be too crowded to add the X-Men into the mix, but mutants are certainly coming sooner rather than later.

Naturally, Marvel Studios are expected to put a fresh spin on famous X-Men such as Storm and Cyclops, as well as mutant villains like Magneto, Mystique, and Mr. Sinister. The conflict between the X-Men and their iconic enemies is a huge part of their appeal,...

MCU Phase 5 Can Finally Make Agents of Shield’s Earliest Tease Accurate
Image
Agents of Shield's earliest tease about its connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe might finally become accurate in Phase 5. As the first Marvel live-action show made by Marvel TV after the McU's burst in popularity after The Avengers, the return of Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson for Agents of Shield was an attempt to expand the universe. The series was made with the intention of being part of the main MCU timeline. However, the disconnect between Marvel Studios and Marvel TV made this increasingly difficult for Agents of Shield's writers to explain, resulting in most MCU connections eventually going by the wayside.

This allowed the debate to grow about whether Agents of Shield is MCU canon. Appearances from Nick Fury, Peggy Carter, and other MCU characters and connections to a variety of movies happened routinely throughout earlier seasons of the show. The continued examples of Marvel Studios ignoring...

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to Reteam With David Fincher for ‘The Killer’
Trent Reznor
Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who during their day job are the minds behind Nine Inch Nails, have announced they’ll be reteaming with director David Fincher for this fall’s “The Killer.” This is their fifth collaboration with Fincher after “The Social Network,” “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” “Gone Girl,” and “Mank.”

“The Killer” is currently cloaked in secrecy, but it is based on the French comic book series by Alexis Nolent (aka Matz). The project stars Michael Fassbender as the title character (his first role since 2019’s regrettable X-Men romp “Dark Phoenix”) along with Charles Parnell, Tilda Swinton, Arliss Howard and Sophie Charlotte in supporting roles. The movie was written by regular Fincher collaborator Andrew Kevin Walker and produced by his old buddy Brad Pitt.

Reznor and Ross announced their involvement in an official Nine Inch Nails newsletter.

Quake's Return Risks Breaking MCU Canon - But It's So Worth It
Image
Chloe Bennet's Quake return could break the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon, but it would be worth it for Marvel to bring her back. The canonicity of Agents of Shield has long been the biggest argument against Marvel Studios bringing back characters from the long-running Marvel TV show. That has not stopped MCU speculation from repeatedly turning toward how various characters could return. Undoubtedly, interest in seeing Daisy Johnson appear in the MCU has been higher than the rest of Agents of Shield's characters, and Chloe Bennet finally delivered a huge tease for Quake's return.

The Agents of Shield star has indicated that she is returning to the MCU as Daisy Johnson in an upcoming project. The potential to see Quake again could put an end to years of petitions to see her return. While it seemed like a long shot for a long time, Marvel Studios bringing back...

Quake’s MCU Return Heavily Teased By Agents Of Shield’s Chloe Bennet
Image
Quake's Marvel Cinematic Universe return has been heavily teased by Agents of Shield star Chloe Bennet. It has been over two years since Daisy Johnson last appeared in the Agents of Shield series finale. While the final episode wrapped up the long-running Marvel show's story, there have been plenty of calls since then for the main characters to return. None have been as heavily requested to come back as Chloe Bennet's Quake, who became a standout character over the course of the series to the point where she effectively became Agents of Shield's lead. However, the actress has repeatedly denied any knowledge of her return.

Thanks to a new tweet from Chloe Bennet, she has heavily implied that Agents of Shield's Quake is returning to the MCU after replying to a tweet disparaging her acting and doubting that Marvel would bring her back.

hey man, you seem like a…...

Chloe Bennet Credits Independence From The MCU For Agents Of Shield's Success
Image
When you look at the history of how the Marvel Cinematic Universe came to be, the casting of Robert Downey Jr. was viewed as a very risky decision. And now we can't imagine anyone else but him as "Iron Man." It is undoubtedly one of Marvel Studios' greatest successes, and in the years to come, the growing interest in the MCU would help turn more niche comic book titles into megablockbuster hits ("Guardians of the Galaxy").

At this point, the MCU has essentially reached a point where its projects no longer need to prove themselves in order to be successful. "Iron Man" was, by all accounts, a miracle that led to Marvel Studios' domination. When we talk about surprises under the Marvel banner, especially given how quickly folks seemed to turn on it, I would argue that one of Marvel's greatest success stories is one that we don't really talk about as much.

‘Gloomwood’ Early Access Proves It’s a Stealth Horror Classic in the Making
Image
Games from New Blood Interactive tend to wear their influences on their sleeves. Their breakout hit Dusk is a backwater horror take on Quake and Doom. Amid Evil gives a modern update to the classic Heretic and Hexen. Ultrakill takes the gameplay of Quake and adds in an aggressive layer of Devil May Cry style. Their latest game, Gloomwood just launched in Early Access, and this game is exactly what’s promised by the game’s URL, thiefwithguns.com. What makes their games extra special is that they go beyond the level of mere imitation, forging their own unique identities through strong style choices and smart design decisions. From the first act of Gloomwood, it’s clear that they’re already off to an incredible start.

You, the doctor, wake up in a pit. Your captors taunt you until a mysterious stranger sneaks in, gives you your equipment and sets you free,...
