Making Unsound: The 7 Year Journey

1 review
10/10

One of the best documentaries I've ever seen, about one of my new favourite movies.

Director Darious Britt, also known on youtube as D4Darious, tells his own life story in Unsound, about a young filmmaker striving to reach his dreams, only to be held back by his own mother's mental illness. Touching and emotional performances from both Darious Britt and Christina Marafino, and an amazing screenplay by the director himself. However, as great as the movie itself is, I honestly believe this is one of the best documentaries out there, giving us, the audience, complete insight on Britt's journey of releasing his very first feature film. Not to mention this is exactly what other young filmmakers need in such times, myself included. I highly recommend to anyone who reads this to go watch both the movie, and the documentary. You will not regret it.
