Young people with lives full of the things young people's lives are full of are sent on an adventure that involves science. No fistfights, no blood, just the drama coming from characters attached to one another in a situation they can't resolve. The science is lightly touched upon -- the true plot is how these friends remain friends. A pleasure to watch.

It's done pretty well. The show could have been better, especially with how it's directed. It could have been darker but ig they didn't explore those ideas because it was made for Disney+. Either way, it's a good show with a satisfying ending.

Loved every minute, definitely watch in French with subs. So much better than the "kid stuff" Disney usually pumps out. Smart believable characters and great action, without violence for the most part. Would definitely show it to a kid, but I'm nowhere near that age, and I got a lot out of it. Hope they will continue!

They say there's nothing new under the sun, and this type of story has been told before, but that doesn't mean this isn't a good version that is well told. I was hooked. The characters are interesting, the acting is good, and the "time travel" stuff is well done. If you like this type of content, I would expect you to enjoy this.

This is a French show, so I would strongly encourage you to watch it in French with subtitles in a language that you understand (if you don't speak French). I don't speak french, but I know from experience with other movies and shows that they are almost always bad when dubbed.

I found the series quite interesting to watch. Teens, their thoughts, relationship, family value and overall multiverse, how a particle accelerator change their lives and a mom who never gives up to bring the old life back. Dubbed version is not bad, if you used to watch with subs that fine, otherwise dubbed is okay too. I personally liked the show.

This series was SUCH an EXCELLENT surprise! This morning I went into Disney+ and saw something called "Parallels". I started watching it dubbed into English but after, I believe, two sentences, I switched to French with subtitles. I was HOOKED.

A quick, spoiler-free rundown would be that it has excellent actors with excellent acting, great, absolutely great writing, dialogue, special effects, and production, very much above average cinematography, good, solid directing, and a completely riveting storyline.

I had the weirdest thought once I was about halfway through this perfect miniseries: how DARE Disney make such an excellent live-action series?! But then I realized that it's not a dumbed-down series made in the U. S. for kids. Sorry, but that's what I thought. I have no idea what they put in the water around Western Europe, but this series goes GREAT alongside Netflix's "Dark", although it is way shorter and WAY easier to understand, without needing a huge family tree in order to keep everything kind of in focus, as many of us did when watching "Dark" (one of the best series of the last decade).

I truly hope that there's a second series, although at the same time I believe this stands perfectly well on its own and why mess with perfection, right?

Watch it and treat yourself to, alongside "The Mandalorian", one of THE best surprises to come out of Disney+.

Its not the first film or series based on the concept of traveling in time or parallel universes. But its well done,and it's not an everyday thing.

The script is decent and the construction of the characters its pretty good actually.

The cast its great and I have to say I wouldn't mind seeing a second season. For the target to which it is addressed its a great movie.

Especially recommended if you like teen science fiction like Stranger Things or Dark. I would say tho its not in the same level but its a good side choice.

Why are all the reviews so bad? This is a really good show. At first, it seems like it has been done before, but it's different from other things. Yes, it does very much resemble Netflix's "Dark" (2017), but it's not the same thing at all. It's really good and you should really give it a chance!!

Like other reviewers have stated. Don't watch the English dubbed version.

There is little explanation of some of the dumb decision the teenager make.

It is like the French version of Dark. Why repeating the same subject in the same way. Anyway if you like time - travel subject you may give a chance. But I will not continue for the remaining episodes. I am sure my twin in the parallel universe wont watch the other episodes.

One black out, sends some teenage friends, into a weird parallel of time and space, will they have figure it all out before it's too late?

I just watched the first episode, and I'm hooked on where it's gonna go, and how the puzzle pieces are gonna fit together. The young actors have incredible chemistry, you do buy that are good friends. I can't wait to watch the next episodes.

Do not watch this with English dubbing it's terrible. Use subtitles. The scenery is amazing of the mountains, breathtaking shots of snow capped peaks. The characters are likeable, the kids are intriguing. It's a nice easy watch sci fi, time travel/time bending series.

Everyone who complained about the dub or gave a bad rating/ review have been downvoted by french toddlers. Looks like the french can't handle criticism.

I don't know why people are complaining that the dub is bad, the lip synch is off etc. Watch it in French instead, with the subtitles.

As for the series I don't think this is a serious series because every character acts so badly that I feel this is supposed to be a spoof of 'Dark'. And I don't know why the cop is made to be a clumsy character. It looks over the top. This series is probably the remake of 'Dark' for the dumb audiences.

It so much reminds me of Dark that even though Dark was so confusing I would rather watch it again than finish watching this show.

If you watch it in the original language (French) it is a really good series!!

A bit like the german 'Dark' series. But not so crazy complicated, and with a decent ending after episode 6.

If you like sci-fi with a little time-travel-sauce, you will enjoy this one!!

There are way too many questions that remain unanswered in season one and I might not be intrigued enough to watch a second season if there will ever be one.

The ending doesn't suggest a new season though.

Overall, it was cute with a lot similarities with Dark and Stranger Things - PARALLELS is like their little baby brother.

I'd suggest watching in French with subtitles. The German dub was fine but I wouldn't recommend the English one.

Such an amazing show! It kept you on edge around every turn! Every episode had a different moment of suspense and a time-traveling experience! Phenomenal! Well-done! I give Parallels 5/5 stars for being a new French show and dubbed in English! Very creative and interesting! 2 thumbs straight up on this one!!

I went with some other peoples advice on here and watched in French with English subtitles and I thought this was a really good and entertaining show to watch.

...and a predictable disconnected slow juvenile plot line. The script is awful looking like a beginner's guide to making a movie.

I'm not sure where the 10's ratings come from, I even tried to watch again a couple times and just had to walk away again after a few moments.

Just watched it all in one day and genuinely enjoyed it. I wasn't expecting too much so i put it on to watch in the background but ended up giving it my full attention. It's definitely best to watch it in french with subtitles because the mouths moving out of sink is distracting. It was overall entertaining and an interesting story even if the concept isn't brand new.

Looks good and a great idea for a show, but first impression is how off the dubbing is, lips moving in a different direction to what they are saying, it's distracting.

Plus the kids are a bit too nice.

In the first 2 or 3 episodes i want to quit but i finished it and watch until the end of episodes. If I'm busy, i probably quit and decided to not watch till end because there is no "things" that a series must have that keep me watching this till the end. But i must admit the ending is worth to watch, yeaaa the ending is just what i need ok great.

Also, i don't like the idea of giving the character a super power just to make a big threat to the story, a big problem that i want is them try to get back their old life together in the other world without any super power. I prefer this series to be regular human, no superhuman.

Halfway through the first episode and we're still watching badly-dubbed pre-teens doing everyday pre-teen things. At some point something may happen, but honestly, at this point who cares.

Despite consuming a lot of valuable screen time, the kids haven't been provided any backstory or motivations which might convince us they are more interesting or compelling than any other group of four kids. In other words, why bother with all this setup when it is a setup to nothing.

Eventually the kids will disappear or something (no spoilers here), which would be a lot more exciting if we cared for these children on a level more than we care for all children in general. But as it is we're watching four random interchangeable badly-dubbed child-actors experience something that should be interesting but isn't.

Seinfeld famously said his show was about nothing. He could have been speaking of this show. Four stars for the four child-actors. Zero stars for whoever was in charge of character development. Four stars.
